Kick synth beta is a synth for kicks i made. It is still beta, i try to make a real release next days or next week with some better envelopes. Anyway it is already working for one kind of kicks now.

It is free of course, and u can download at my project-page here: www.eyb-projects.net.tf

I will inform u when the next version is released (i hope i find some time)            Signature

How should you progress to get a kick like Kindzadza ? You know, with a lot of treble "blip", but not like the "fruity kick" type... get it?

One way I have used is two fruity dumsynth lives (ie on two different tracks).
One is pitched quite high, which a sharp attack and decay, and this forms the blip.
The second is pitched really low, with a slow decay. Then I used the standard fruity envelope params (that you get with all plugins), to offset the low pitched drum slightly, so there is a tiny pause before its played. This will give the low thud/boom sound.
Now I play with the decay of the hi-pitch, and the attack of the lo-pitch until they are both in sync.
This gives a typical psy-trance kick.
If you look at the wave form in the editor, it should give you a very quick and hi freq decaying (in both amplitude and pitch) sine, and just before silence the lo freq boom should begin with a longer adsr.
You will have to change the adsr of the lo boom to fit with your bass lines.

In fruity i noticed that the pitch envelope (channel parameters, where the envelopes are, select pitch) is great to change a kick into something that fits with the bass.

Simple decay envelope (close attack, hold, sustain and release), then use amount and decay to look for a bend that makes the kick fit the bass perfectly. I do this after i made the EQ/comp for the kick and bass... If they sound bad together after EQ and comp I start bending the kick untill it fits... This trick works like a charm for me.

Also use the fruity POGO button at the samplers first page, with fruity sampler every kick gets a killer kick.            Signature
