ES1 is one of the synths that come free with Logic.
It does not run on other sequencers.
So you need a Mac (or Hackintosh PC set up) and Logic. If I am not mistaken there were some sample banks of Logic's synths for Battery, but you don't get the real time programming with the sample banks obviously adn you dont get the sound ESM/ES1/ES2 filters and envelopes, produce, but the filter sound from whatever soft sampler you are using.
Hope this has cleared things up.

If you absolutely have to have that sound, you can get a PC running version of Logic (up to 5.5), write your basslines there, bounce them and import them as audio in whatever sequencer you are using.

try the method above if u need the sound. it´s pretty easy and logic runs under windows, only in older versions. anyway the es-1 i think was already included in older versions. and there are tons of ways to get good basslines, try everything.
you can do magic manymany ways |

Hi there.
Earlier I used mainly VB1, there was a necessity in equal a bass lines with dot changes of a tonality, and it well worked. But now with its help I can not reach desirable result. VST which I loved now it seems to me primitive. Or I am mistaken?
For quite some time now my sounding has gained forest character, there was a necessity in swinging rolling a bass lines with permanently varying musical tonality and long notes changed to short one but their transition smooth.
Long time I puzzle over how to reach desirable effect what VST to use? Than to handle?
In the long term it would be desirable to study the Swedish character of bass.
Hope somebody have the answers.
