I use VB-1.
It takes a while before you get a decent sound, but once you have it, it kicks ass!

Ive been working on Trilogy for a while, but i have kind a problem...im trying to work with short notes but if i cut too much it looses all the power....ive been tweaking attack, decay, release and always sounds too long...and suddenly im stuck on my bassline, again

Hi , its my first post ... =) I usually use tone 2 firebird , alien 303 , and Tau 2 for basslines ....

It is possible to make a very heavy bass with the Hydra vst ..

Hello to everyone =)
Keep on the good work ...

Techpreacher > try to set your amp env to full sustain and no decay (with 0 attack and release of course) and reduce the size of your midi notes.

Thank hugaw, very usefull tip, actually sounds better And by the way...i have notice that if you try to use Trilogy on Ableton Live it becames very unstable, seems like it have quantization issues...BUT in cubase works like a charm!

just discovered a nice bass sound in VB1. have rolling bass (KBBB) but have velocity of the first note so low you can hardly hear it (mines on 5%) then add some overdrive (just a tad to beef it up) some EQ & Compression to suit (i used PushTec & Q) and also i used camelphat (tweak to suit) Also have the notes as short as possible, 1/64th notes. this produced quite a nice crisp bass for me, hope this can help.

Ok, now im so close, but not there yet, i make my bassline with Trilogy/Quadrafuzz/multiband comp, in the mix with other stuff sounds incredible but if listen carefully the bass is making some kind of noise cliping, what can i do to remove that? ive been trying lowpassing but...nada

trilogy is a bit unstable with a kbbb..if sidechain and compression donesn't work just bounce it to a sampler and you got a sharp stable bassline..
if you too lazy to do this , use cronox2 it's very punchy and stable too..i don't like it cuz the glide option sucks there..other than that it rocks!
