Rob Papen Albino/Predator is exelent for trance bass [and heaps of other synthesis!!!] Logic ES1 is also great and very simple.I like to compress the shit out of my bass using Logic compressor to give it a more 'constant' presence.I don't go overboard with the EQ either! |

My friend u don't have to know synthesis, just open a midi track and put a Vb-1 synthi preset ,and then u do what fuzzikitten has writen on pages 34,35 of this thread.
This is all a learning process there's no real shortcuts

or just load a bass preset in any synth and tweak it and see how the sound changes. Get your hands dirty man.(rather your ears too)

Hello ppl!!!
I'm trying to make a really low freq sub bass, that u feel more than u hear it.when I'm listening to it on my headphones or monitors, the compression, eq and generally the sound,look good,but when i put it on a normal hi-fi system,the sub "whistles",if u understand what i mean....
Can anyone help me with this...??

becuase your hifi's frequency response starts at 40+ Hz, but your subbass is below 30, so you don't hears or feel it

thanks for the advice,although I think that not the case,cause I have cut the freq under 50Hz and it it goes up to 1KHz or more... |

I quite like the PSP Stereo Enhancer.
Or make a duplicate bass track and pan each track to opposite ends.
