Diverseity of Alien303 is in no need to further equalize your bassline because it sounds great as is. This is very helpful mainly for beginners like me
And record notes from demo to prevent purchase? I think this is not about avoid demo protection but generally about support. And if someone is createting something very useful like alien303 is for me, I'll support them and look forward to their next plugins, especially for that low price... |

i would like to write smthng bout Trilogy too
lately im using it more and more and think it is the right&best kind of bass module
First of all there is a huge list with superb basses from a big variety of styles & second best is that you can combine two different bass sounds together
Then you have the four filters , two envelopes (amp,filter) both are full ADSR and can be modulated different for EACH of the two basses (if u r using a combination ) or can have the same modulation when linking each other ..
Then there are three LPs and one HP (with cutoff , resonance , key & env above them ) ,, pitch and fine tuning for each bass mode ( A or B)
i know there are so many good vst's that make the job ,i love to use VB-1 and Tau , i am also new to the music making but it seems to me that after you learn with such a professional tool like Trilogy , you can make any bass you want for any style from
psy to every kind of music .
my point is that when using , lets say VB1 , of course you can make a great bassline easier than trilogy ,, but when you have the ability to program , see the parameters you change & hear how this affect your sound ,,
maybe ( i hope ) you get even better ,or youll end up with a boomdache  , and go for a walk in the park ...
dont always follow the easy way

I have a problem with my trilogy , it makes a sweep sound every dunno 16th note?! , maybe because it's a free!!!??? version  i like it but its killing me that sweep!
On another note, do u use 2 basslines?
one for the midrange and another for the subs?is that a rule?I'm finding hard to make my bassline do both with only one Vst (let's say Tau)),if i crack the subs i loose mid's and vice versa.

.. i havent got such a problem with with the 16th cant tell if its the free version..
as for the basslines ,, im trying combinations of any king of a bassline (synth presets mostly) , like a pulse with a sawtooth , or two saw wave basses ,, you can choose whatever comb you like ..
and for finding the subs and the mid's of each bass & combine them is the hardest ,, cause you have to search each bassline ,, tweak it (envelopes, filters!, modulation,fine tuning etc)
to find how it is corresponding to the frequencies ,find the right ones, one for mid one for subs ,, combine and there you are..
..maybe it sound easy ,, but it isnt ,at least for me, i crack my head every time i have to tweak ,, theres is not a superwoOOow button which makes everything sound awesome ,, everything depends on everything and you have to be very careful ... |

Has anybody a link to full version, PM me? I cant find it nowhere..
Who i change the demo protection, sampling the Alien 303´s notes? I think that you not gonna change nothing, cause the demo still there you just gonna record the notes in a audio file and then use them in a sampler...and get quick recording those notes cause the noise can appear!:)

My Alien 303 sometimes makes a click that dont come from its oscillator!And its not a demo...
If somebody have the same problem or any idea....please say somethig!

I use tau pro,tau pro 2 and that's about it i tried finding some more good basslines on Magesy but i found nothing so if someone can send me a pm and gve me a link(or upload some good bassline on sendspace/rapidshare)i would be gratfull...

I found this envelope Designer after a deep search for envelope shaper. Could not try it yet but but who knows maybe it works as cubase env shaper..just wanted to share..

Hello,
I do not have this problem;
my opinion is that you are using mono mode, try to switch Alien303 to poly mode and allways use poly mode for bassline or try to put your latency a little bit higher
