y0, how can i get my bass softer in Virus B?? The sound is reaaally harsh. I increased amp attack, it helped a bit, but it's still too harsh. It's a 16th bass.

in the main edit there is a intensity/punch parameters option.
And also in another edit menu the is an "Analog boost" and "tune" parameters.
tweak these and you should resolve your issue.

i heard from lots of professional artists who played in my parties that they stop use VB1 because it kills all the inspiration and doesn't let u feel free with ur creativity and it doesn't fit well with all the other instruments so what u get in the end is almost the same track as all the VB users better or not..stil the same...strange but all of them said the same...

their bottom line : it has good sound but it limits u in many points.

VB-1 . the most versatile, and u can get a lot of sounds. just use a good eq on it and itīs done.
V-station also has killa fat basses

True , with VB1 you get both bass and hihats (that awful sound of the pick) in one VST LOL
Seriously now i like it but i'm not using it for psy-trance.
Also i have to agree on the vstation ,great
VST for basslines

Man use waves equalizer on it and cut off the high frequency you will see there will be no pick noise. The vb-1 is perfect for full-on. then put it on the sinth bass preset and put the vb-1 internal volume in maximum. Itīs a good start then you can edit it for your pleasure. Try it.

Personally i donīt like tau pro. It donīt sound naturall and we canīt get enough pressure with it.

Heh i've used a lot of equalisers and filters on the vb1 but same problem man.Even if i cut all the frequencies except 30 - 300 the damn noise is always there ...maybe not so harsh but still audible ... should it be that way ? no .. .should i cut more ? then there'll be no mids in my bassline which sucks imho

Somehow artists like Rinkadink and Astrix and other get great sound from the VB-1. I

I have experimented with EQ-ing out the highest Freq, compression, and using some plugins like Rbass, or Maxxbass, but sometimes get strange resonances in vb-1 bassline.

Curious what plugins people who got good sound from vb-1 are using. I think the key the bassline is in also contributes to the resonance.           Cytopia.org
