and play low notes

normally i get fast a nice bass line with vb1

but i try to use it not to often, so i get different bass lines for diffferent tracks.

filter and eq is important when using vb1            Signature

one question
i know there are some general rules when it comes to basses.

but nowadays it seems to me that bassline patterns in psy trance, are all the same (well in dominating majority of psy tracks). same structure, same bass patch most of the time.

One question, is this a general rule in psy trance? or is it simply lack of creativity?

And if it is a general rule in psy trance: don't you guys find it a litle too monotonous, litle to boring, not much drama or excitement???

Thank you

Isn't that question a little trite?

One of the things that makes trilogy good is that it is SAMPLED, it's basically a ROMpler, you don't get the phase init irregularities you sometimes get with synthesizers. A lot of its power and precision comes from that, and the rest comes from what they sampled...

I'm finding very few VSTi filters to be worth a shit for basses tho, in my experimentation. VB1, nah, Tau sounds like VB1 and Rb303 mated. Nothing snappy will EVER come out of these synths, unless you hit J in cubase and drag the attack off a zero crossing.

The ones I am digging are MS-20 and Vanguard to an extent, but mostly Minimoog and Virus Poco...and even the Superwave. Minimoog is pretty much #1 at this point tho. YMMVMMDN

I am using Sytrus.
It can make both Full on And Psy bass lines.
If you learn to use it you will feel the fat of this instrument.
I really recomend it.
