Can anyone lend an ear here? In this track past 1:45 or so there is a fast, rolling bass.
My ear is still pretty inexperienced and I'm trying to figure out if a full 16th note pattern is being used ala:
X---X---X---X---
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
or:
X---X---X---X---
-xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx
It sounds to me as if each 16th is being hit, but I'm unsure. Most tutorials I've seen are leaving a hole for the kick.
A problem I'm having is when I try to emulate the 2nd style I typed, the "hole" in the bassline for the kick is very noticeable, even if I use a fairly short envelope sound.
The song I posted there has an effect of sounding as if the bassline does not stop for the kick, so I'm curious what might be used here if it's not a full 16th pattern.

sounds like a saw wave, this particular bassline uses some pitchbend or glide or something, and has sort of a longish decay on the filter envelope to give it the growling feel. it also sort of sounds like when the filter envelope closes it does so to some value above 100hz, again contributing to the growling feel.

love these "303 ish pattern" kind of bassline, remind the bass i had with the tau plugs... would not be surpised if it s one of the tau ,you can get similar sound with eq, but that could be said for loads of synths

it is based on kbbb-kbbb from VB1, low passed and effected by quadfuzz.
Get the note right and play with quadfuzz. you will get it at the end.

Is it possible to get guadrafuzz for ableton ? im not using cubase
