question to the low end...

lets take a simple saw wave.
if i compare it to other tracks, the subs are higher.
i tried RBass (waves) but i dont get it.

do you use EQ for this nice subs?

cheers

maybe it s just the note used? if the sub is higher? or you mean louder?

yeah right also the note is important... i use now sylenth1 (there is a bass tutorial)... i got an extra osc(sine) for the subs, sounds really better now!

i used this tutorial http://www.dancemidisamples.com/psytrance-bass-tutorial.html

do you use a EQ-notch on the bass? i alrdy asked this, but i dont get it...
this just leads to more notches, but i often read this method works for a good bass.
how do you do it?

i try to eq so it don t sound like it have been equed, the sound have to stay natural but if there is some frequencies that are not pleasant i cut them a bit yes.
half of the work is on the synth there s 2 different way to make bassline in my experience, with big amount of envelop modulation on the filter, means the cut off is very low or with light amount envelop modulation and fast decay on it, the second one sound better all the time for me and neeed less processing cause you can set the filter where the bassline don t need much equing (filter almost open so there is no mud , less resonance in the mids.. but it depends what synth you use),the bassline need some air or it dont sound well balanced and you can hear bad freq in the low mids sometimes..., when you tweak the synth try to get the cleanest sound ,if it s too bright it s not a problem you remove it with a eq band or 2, just try to get cleanest low and low mids from the sytnh ,also use the more transparent filter on the synth, the one that add the less bad freqs in the low and mids ,it s what i do but still lot of room for improvment ,bassline quest never end

np man, when you get a clean sound from the synth ,there is a technique that can work well depending the synth/notes and type of bassline you are after, it s called octave replacement , what you do is cut the second harmonic few db ,on the synths i use usually -3 to -5 db and boost one octave up a bit less ( for example A 55hz you can try to cut 110 and boost 220 ),except these 2 eq bands i use mostly large Q ( i remove the shit i dont like in the medium to give that smiley curve kind of sound )large q sound more musical and make less trouble when you use different notes and 4/5 bands should be enought or use a other synth... , if you get a very clean source just 1 or 2 bands could be enought in my experience, never tried sylenth for bassline but the oscillator are clean but sound to plastic for bassline imo , i like more esm/es1 type of bassline and the perfect replacement is massive for that sound on pc imo, cronox 2 is a bit thin but good too and romplers/samplers with analog saw loaded are maybe the easiest to get right without much processing.
what coudl help you is to cut a kick bass bar from a track that sound good ,load it in your sequencer and play with a eq to hear wtf is going on

If you can figure everything out by reading the forum then please be so kind and give me a more usefull tip next time!
This is a place to share ideas and to help other people, also people who are not as experienced as you seem to be.
Anyway I just recently got the massive and wanted to get a basic idea of where to start from.

A sawtooth wave and a low pass filter is a good place to start

Virus TI2, Gladiator (really nice), albino, phoscosyon, sylenth1, ES1 & ESM

tend to be my go to synths with bass

To be fair i have more trouble making kicks than bass sounds, or should i say getting the bass and kick to playfully pull each other forward.

Any help on that front would really be nice
