hi fellows, i recently discovered that slow music have nothing less than 145bpm+ stuff it induces trance state in a more chilled way
perhaps deeper.
the main key is 4/4 kick imo.
by low bpm i mean LESS than 100
i got bored now with stretching down entheos's stuff and downtempo to less bpm

have you got some suggestions about SLOW trippy music???

Psychedelic trance originally was intented to have bpm's that would be around two times the rate of the heart beat (120-145bpm) so you are on the right way my friend

Please provide some documentation thanks. Otherwise it look to me your statement is based on taste and not factual proof.

There was never any "rules". Trance is not about the bpm (even though I suspect too high bpm's can cause stress) but all about the flow and hypnotic effect.

My statement derives from long conversations i had with the major producers of this scene during the last decade.

You can also spend some time and read this nice essay.

I still dont agree with your statement which is very narrow in its nature. Nothing was "intended"! And "Conversations" does not cut it! Ask any Psychedelic trance producer (not some fluffy full-on artists) and I bet most will agree that BPM got every little to do with if a tune is categorised as being "psychedelic" or not. The whole BPM statement is absolutely nonsense!

The BPM range between 120-145 got absolutely nothing to do with anything. BPM is just a number.

I like to hear who those "major" artists are Detox. It's always your answer and "proof" when it comes to debates about music. That you spoke to the "Major" artists of this scene. Man so did I (I even made music with some of them) and I never heard them say anything related to what you claim.

I doubt Brian Kelch (whoever he is) argue that there ever was an intended BPM in this music. "If" he does he is far off!

House music is also within these bpm's (From 120 - 130) and they never claimed it to be psychedelic trance           www.beatagency.dk
