In my old forum there was a thread like this one and I found good incences after that. Also I already used the search...

The question is:
What are the recomended incenses to have at the Chill Out?

I like Super Hit and Nag Shampa.
Hope we all leran more with this thread.

Well learn this already : Satya Sai Baba (the man who makes Nag Champa) is a religious leader that has been charged with multiple accounts of child molestation and rape... So please think twice before buying his incence..

Sorry not to look irie now.           .

So what alternatives you suggest me?

And I just bought a Nag Champa box two days ago. In our opinion what should I do with that? (Just to know your opinion, I'll burn it anyway).
Please, I don't want this question to take this thread out of topic.

Respect!

Kako where have you heard about this? Never knew about it and always bought it. If this is really true, no more Nag-Champa here.           we are one.

as far as indian insence, such as Nag Champa and Super Hit... these are both very good and popular...

but for chill... I would have to suggest the brand "Natural" made by the same company. Yes, it is made by slaves/devotees of Sathya Sai Baba in Bangalore, but for me that adds to the magic and mystery! "Natural" comes in a green box, and has a soft / airy / vanilla scent ... very "cool" smelling, not spicy... which makes it my favorite chillroom insence..
Any Indian importer worth his masala, should be able to sell you some.

"Shiva-Shankar" made by the same company , has a cool name and box... but the scent too strong for chillout use.

Sorry again Full_on and Lucas.. Yes it is not a 'light' subject, and it is not the kind of reaction you expected, Full_on...

However, there is too much smoke around this man, who is a very skilled marketer (you can find his incense almost everywhere !).. And there is never smoke without fire..

Full_on as alternative U have :

- Goloka nag champa Agarbathi (Goloka is the manufacturer)
- Guru mala dhoop bathi
- Bodhi sattva agarbathies
- Sandal supreme ganga kaveri products
- Indra santal auroshikha agarbathies
- Panchamukhi hari om fragrance
- Aravinda sungandha shringar agar bathi

Dhoop sticks are great imho..           .

My favorites are the Nag Champa, they just have something special about them.

I have friends who grew up around Sai Baba, never heard any complains.

So I heard this rumour that the black incenses are supposedly not good, because they are chemically imbalanced, so they are not good for your health, and neither for spiritual purpouses (considering you believe that)...

Im not sure how true that is, though... In any case, the incenses I like the smell (safal and sandal wood) are, by coincidence or not, not black anyway...

I use only Indian incense. Though never had anything special for chill out. I just like the good smell and atmosphere that good incense gives.

Nag Champa are really good.

Also I recommend dhoop sticks from BIC- especially Panchavati (yellow package) & Sandalwood (red ones). If you're travelling and using not so good smelling hotels (happens in India) then use Padmini dhoop sticks- very sharp smell and leaves no room for other smells

Another nice one is Satya Geet Govinda from Shrinivas Shugandhalaya.

As for Sri Satya Sai Baba- dunno the guy, though I visited Putaparti where he resides, and saw him a couple of times. Putaparti is quite an unbelievable place, no other place like it in the world for sure. I talked to a lot of his devotees from around the world and it seems he does them good.

I never really connect to "money babas", but we do have to consider that people like Satya Sai Baba usually attract responses/accusations like that.

That web site you gave kako looks a bit fishy to me. Maybe even more bizarre than the man himself. Certainly not something I would base my decision on buying or not buying good incense and boycoting a man/divinity who has millions of followers.

But I suggest we leave Sai Baba out of this, quite off topic actually...

Back to insence- I little advice- always check how it lights up- if it lights up immidietely with a big flame, then there are chemicals inside. If it takes a while to light up then it's natural, and usually better.           ---------------------------------------------

Yes I am sorry.. All the info I read until now were french, and the link I gave was from a net-search, and I didn't take the time to read it completely..

Thanks for your incense tips           .

Darshan is really nice.           Live for the journey, not the destination.
