What gives inspiration to an artist when produces music?
How much important is for u the subject/theme of a track?
Do u care much about the message, or u dont pay much attention as u prefer 1rst of all music be good...?
I might see for expample a beautifull cover disc with mystical symbols wich may attract me to buy it,but the music inside be crap.

TherE are tracks with social messages,or dark an evil themes,or ufo with aliens or battles with psyborgs or dragons with elves or...etc
Also ,wich one theme/subject do u prefer more to see in trance music?

I believe without a theme producing music is lacking something....direct mood and sentiment infusion

Every theme, every idea, lead, sample
spawned in the mind of the producer can lead the listener in a certain direction-music is in a way sharing experience imo

And giving ideas, places of reference to society is essential in these times (only imo). We have to win that race to 2012! symbols, sign posts, giving points of reference.

Im writing this full of respect but full of myers rum so pls dont be angry with me if im talking crap.

Peace

and the rest

(when i dont have too much work I read this
forum all the time and in the last couple of weeks its become my daily companion..thank you all for giving me something to read....now off to eat a brothel-pizza Oo)

and I only mean pizza....I work in a hotel and the only place which is open is the brothel 1 floor beneath me.

and trance music should follow a diverity of themes, just as the producer should follow intuition to choose these themes, whatever they may be.

That would be the difference between disposable dance music and timeless trance, would it not?

from my side i got always inspired by events or happenings or moods and express them... i know i only can tell my view of that story and share it and i use everything possible to do so, even if necessary lowering quality, adding noise or just making a sound sound crystal crispy clear...

just because it's part of the emotion i wish to tell about with the song and not because "i don't care"

in fact wouldn't i had beent his perfectionist on myself and not doubt too much as well, i think i would had been standing a bit further with my tracks then i do now           no situation is stronger then a heart that dares to love
so may the force of life light and love be with you

the track theme enhances the artist inspirantion and the music itself, symbols like speeches or ambience themes do reference to states of mind and counsciousness. they give meaning and spirit to the music.

so much music without soul, why make more?           (www) DarkPrisma.com.ar/ ~ FranticNoise.com.ar/ ~ Megalopsy.com.ar/ ~

i also think you can get isnpired by the tools you are using to produce musics.

i think its cool.

or maybe i get too triped but when im making music i feel like assembinn a funtional organism.
sometimes i have no other inspiration that the concept of freedom and the one provided by creating your own sounds.

trance to me is all about story telling through one's music, like in a movie you must have a story and the way of showing is completely different from person to person the same way an artist writes a track keeping in mind the story he wants to tell.
aliens, psyborgs, evil on earth or on some far away planet or evil on the whole which brings fear but we all fight it with all our heart body mind and soul.. then comes the morning and we unite with joy and happiness to see that everyone has succeded in winning the war against evil and is celebration time.
if there is no story then the track has to be so good that i am able to make one and continue with it for the rest of the time but at some point of time the artist must show me a way where to go otherwise all energy around me is wayward and i don't see anyone in what is termed as collective consciousness which quite frankly is as destructive as anything can be, so the artist must have some story to tell so all beings around me unite and we become one.

90% of dark psychedelic trance is masterwork, without soul... its sad, but true... imo... This music is one-day soft, one track sounds the same as other, there are no difference between these... This music could be loud, crystal clear, dancefull, but not interesting... imo           - [Devil's mind | Insomnia | Night oracle | Organic Alchemy | Vertigo | Deja vu recs.]

Yet there are also tracks/albums with great names and concepts behind them but the content is rather weak. 'Interpretation' in psychedelic trance, or the message that in conveys to you (if it even has one) does not carry many differences with post-modern abstract art; it's probably going to tell a different story to each person. I say let the music do the talking.

i think is the other way around, dark music is giving more and more conceptual works this days, like for example the albums of quasar or greg on earth.

thats really inspirefull post
thanks bro!!
I think that the theme depends from the artist's more inspirfull themes he/she likes and experienc es most inetnse in life.
In case u read the title of a track and then start to listen, is easier to follow the same trip with others who know the title of the track, that helps dancers and listeners to flow in the same vibe.
Especially when u r alone in ur room and listen music is easier to build the story in ur mind, because it is u and music without the outer vibe effects of others,u can even meditatite by focusing ur mind up on the theme title of the track if looks to u interesting.
But in a party is not so easy to follow the special theme of the track with all those people around u..
