Hi Nathan (Chaos Theory),
Unfortunately I see the future as more mainstream. I think this is sad, but some people don't, for example usually the full on artists I interviewed think that a "bigger or more commercial scene" is a good future. Of course I understand these are the same artists that live of playing at parties, so for them big parties means more work.
On the other side there are we, the psyheads, people who are on this exclusively for the music, which means I couldn't care less for big parties, because my experience tells me that they're exactly the opposite of what I'm looking for.
The MEDIA, my friend, including TOP 10 and promotional stuff, creates this fake idea that "big names", unreleaseds and Live Acts make a better party. But the FACT is that at 15 years ago at GOA there was exceptional parties and vibes and DJ sets without any famous artists or any Live Acts.
The Media NEEDS to put different artists/musics on top every month, because the MEDIA is all about promotion, it needs to sell itself.

Media also can bash music and promote itself in this way. It doesn't have to be positive. Trance is very convenient music to bash with all the drugs issue. What is sad from my pov is that the artist who appear in the big newspapers in Israel are Skazi and infected. their current music is not something that should represent trance imho. It's like sanding the wrong ambassador to Alien planet. This is some kind of media damage. The Israeli media looks 4 the big names as you said, so there no chance to see Triac or Perfect Stranger in the newspaper.

infected and skazi are not good example of trance music and that what i say to anyone who says the word infected/skazi and trance in the same sentence.
but its happens in every genre. if your not familiar with the genre you will know only the popstars of the genre
so the same things happens in rap, rock, punk, house.......
so the popstars of trance being the ambassador is normal. |

1 more thing is that infected has and still have huge influence on the whole trance scene.
about 99.9% of the israeli artists(not only the full on ones) influenced in one way or another by theme. |

4 years passed since I asked those Naive questions. Since than I made my Dream Come True and alsow Next week Im geting my Deploma. I Don't know if my articles Influenced the scene but I'm having fun

Funny thing
After reading this thread again, we already can witness one major change since you opened it, a change in the web that unfortunately also affected this forum critically, at least the Israeli part of it- Facebook.
Since facebook penetrated the israeli web, forums are collapsing one by one and the sphere has moved to facebook. Too bad you can't (at least not yet) really discuss on facebook or making any reviews or articles...

Indeed, seems as though Facebook has mopped up a majority of the party planning forums and social networking sites.
A shame too because I always enjoyed Isratrance's thought-out and easy to read format.
Now we have to deal with spam... crap!

i really don´t like what youre doing here. even if the scene would be dying, why do people like you always want to profit from it?
what your doing is not good journalism. what youre doing is populism. you say trance is dying. tech-trance is dying. i say its just been born, so go write about something thats actually dying, like the animals in the mexican golf. and go spread your negativity somewhere else |

I Have the right to write about what I Want- You do not have to read. Have you heard about freedom of speech? Tech trance was almost dead, and now its maybe coming back With albums by Insomnia and Ectima
