Well, I don´t know wether Bahia is over or not. But today I´ve learned that Daniela Mercury (yes, you´ve read it all right !), seems to be involved in some Drumm & Bass project...But wait ! The worse is still to come...It seems she just can´t wait to play around with some psy music...The person who told me this does deserve credit. Probably she´s been to some of those Troncoso fests and came up with some weird ideas. Let´s hope for the best and maybe that´s just gossip...Otherwise we´re bound to see Aquarela do Brasil, Rica & Carlinhos Brown remix...

Teach Respect ?? Daniela Mercury ?? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA......That surely was something !!!!! Jesus...! HAHAHA...You gotta be kiddin´...!!!!!!!! As for being a fox, quite right, my dear, quite right. Even in my wildest dreams I couldn´t describe her better than that. Fox fits nicely into her personality. You should exercise some more your literary vein...

I have to say that even listening to the name Daniela Mercury gives me the creeps... I can't stand anything related to that kind of music... But I think, about the police problem, all people need to do is to keep it low on the drugs for a little while. Use them where no one can see you... After all, it is all inside your mind. After some time, cops will just forget about trance parties and will worry about something else...

we have some big debut about one point that realy fit on your thread..
once, years ago was one man and his name was Asher Haviv.. he showed to all what is big party and how to make it.. while his active years we had best partys in our history... dont forget we didnt have partys more than with 300 ppll till he wasnt part of the scene.. Huge festival was the highlight of his org career... but police and goverments payed attention and destroyed him and his partys.. he was all can make man but gov. is too much then they put they eyes on u for a while..
bottom line: he did it great,he did it best but now alot of ppl (im not one of them) think that he destroyed scene here..  i think he local super hero ;)
so, what i wanted to say its u never can know what will happen to your ass tommorow,so have funn now and as its look from the midlle east, right now u have this amazing wave of freedom and funn.

As usual Words of Wisdom Eli. :-)
Asher is the guy behind the famous Drugless festival right?
Well what is happening now here is quite similar to what happened back in your country.
About this, check my post on the "Celebra on TV" thread.
Bom Bom!

I have to agree with zombi... we should enjoy while we can (????)... but we can't just have fun and forget about all the rest. We need to have fun as well as try to fight the system (the government, whatever)and keep the trance spirit going, even if it is in a 10 people party... Let's keep up the parties in a more undergroud movement...

A little note regarding the dynamics behind psytrance becoming commercial. As i understand it, the reason there is so much empathy and understanding and good vibes at bush doofs....raves....underground....psychadelic parties is mainly due to the fact that the people who attend have respect for what they are involved with. Now, when more and more people are drawn to these events for whatever reasons, beit commercialisation...e.g. mainstream advertising, or whatever...then the focus of the organisers has to change by the sheer nature of the size of the event. This is because once something surpasses a certain size the people have to be managed.... they have to be fed...they have to be watered...they have to be toileted...they have to be provided for. This is why huge event type parties have a distinctly different vibe and style to small gathering parties. Also large groups of people are destructive...simply by their nature. And thus comes the onslaught of commercialisation. And the people who come with this onslaught, they by nature wont particularly care about the scene they are joining... they will be there for different reasons. So less respect for decorations, environment, fellow partygoers, music, will be a direct flow on. So if psytrance doofs do become largely commercial they will no longer be psytrance doofs...they will be more like gatecrasher...simply by the nature of people management...so for a doof to remain a doof..it will have to keep the elements which make it such...relatively smaller size....word of mouth and underground advertising...so it can never become fully commercialised as when and if it does it will be something entirely different, whilst the small doofs will remain going on whenever they do...

That was quite a precise reflexion on what´s goin´on here.

I have to agree with you guys... but the thing is that people who are really involved with psytrance have to try to get the "new" people into the trance spirit... respect fellow partygoers, decoration and, above all, mother nature... Here in Brazil we have so many beautiful and great places... but in order to have a party or a festival in such places people need to respect nature... otherwise we can't have parties in the wild anymore... I agree masses can be destructive but we have to try to change that kind of thing... and the way to do that is informing the new comers...
