Thought you'd like this cos I think it's amazing! This guy in Australia has built a live set using the movement of his body in space to play/loop the layers of the music. How long before we see a psy act using this technology you think?

Oh god,
Psy trance dj's already put on way to many theatrical body movements and wrist fanning. This would make it even more gay than things already are. And besides I think it was Chromosome that had already a similar concept in their live but with different technology, with shit strapped to his arms

What, may I ask, is wrong with "worst fanning"'and being "gay"?

I myself am heterosexual but have many very good friends who are homosexual and as a normal & mature person find your comments very immature and extremely unnecessary. You should be ashamed of yourself for using such inflammatory words. Ts fine to not like or to disagree with something, but try to behave like a mature person and not like a primary school bully.           Cuntus Maximus.

Relax its just an expression around here meaning more than a sexual orientation. Sorry you were so offended but Im sure you'll get over it. Not everyone is so "normal and mature" as yourself

Here. Your own country man might lighten up the situation here so we can be friends again.
Pay special attention to what steve says in this video he is awesome :
" Political correctness is the intellectual colonialism of Psychological Fascism for the creation of thought crime "

Im sure such a mature person as yourself has read the book 1984 By Orson Wells and as such is familiar with the term "thought crime" and the message in this book.

Lol. Dude I just hate the term. I was bullied about being gay for 10 years at school, from words to physical beatings that ended in hospital visits until I convinced my parents to let me change schools.

I don't give a fuck about political correctness, I just hate the use of this word in such a negative context.

After the bullying led to permanent depressive & anxiety problems with me, I've spent thousands of dollars on thereapy and 14 years on still have nightmares about being beaten and having my head shoved in a toilet full of shit whilst others laughed & the teachers just told me to have a shower and get over it.           Cuntus Maximus.

I was bullied too. But you cant jump on everything and everyone about it. So I guess the video wasn't funny huh? My gay friend found it hilarious.
No hard feelings buddy , I understand your feelings...peace

From what I understood he is just playing around with filters right? He is not playing anything which makes this just show off... you could be playing with knobs and it would do the same and you would even have more precision. But most people like all that dancing and think he is actually playing the notes lol. I wouldn't find this show amusing for more than 10 minutes but that's me, I'm sure this will have a lot of interest by the crowd           Free album out now:

Don't think he's just playing with filters, at various points on different layers he seems to have different paramaters hooked up to his movement and normally at least two at a time.

At various point he seems to be affecting the notes that are playing (like the plinky noises that he plays with his beer lol), filters, a pitch envelope, the positioning/length of a loop in a sampler (the glitchy vocal layers that's he's scratching back and forth)... maybe a bit more but that's what I noticed first time anyhow. And at one point he has two different layers controlled by two different hands.

I guess the same could be done with normal kit, but I think it would require two X-Y pads rather than just knobs....

With just a little more technology (that already exists - can't find the video now but was a similar system that could detect distance from the cam as well.... making it 3d) you could have two XYZ axes controlled at once.... don't think you can do that with knobs... would take some learning how to play though I reckon!

Its amazing how you can program a synth to play great by itself no matter what you do .
You can just programm then hit random notes with your penis and it still sounds awesome
Proof is right on top of this topic
Still i aprecciate improvization and the more out of it the better.
AS for the future let people first learn how to play a normal live act with just some synths and a console, i mean when you actualy need to play live. Perfect for me as it is.           http://soundcloud.com/magimix-1/chilling-forest-whispers
Wierd shit happens :)
