what really does my head in, is why would any dude with a synth like this:

go using a plugin?

patch recall.
multiple instances.
wave osc's.
resampling.
maintenance.

of course, was just being tongue in cheek!           http://hermetechmastering.com : http://www.discogs.com/artist/Gregg+Janman : http://soundcloud.com/babaluma

first Zebra 2.5.3 comes out some time soon, wich adresses mountain lion and other stuff. the exact filters like in Zebra HZ wont be in Zebra 2.5.3 or Zebra 3 ..but same technology in a different Style.

Zebra 3 will be a new product basically and might be needed to buy as a new one since it will sound very different from 2.5.3 and therefore is not backward compatible..           -------......-------...-..-..-..-.-.-.-.-

urs about zebra 3 on kvr:

"Yes, The Dark Zebra ships with a "Hans Zimmer edition" of Zebra. It's not an update per se, just a special version needed to play some those patches (90% or so of patches play fine in normal Zebra).

Zebra 3 is a whole different story. Nothing is set in stone yet, but we're toying with a 30$ upgrade from Zebra2. No idea yet if tehre#s a special (e.g. free) update from Zebra + The Dark Zebra. Seeing though that The Dark Zebra is on the upper end of the pricing scale and includes a Z3 prototype, I can imagine making Zebra3 a free upgrade. We'll discuss those issues in the months to come."

Zebra is still my absolutely favorite softsynth.
The new sounds are amazing I think, but 99 bucks for those and a fancy new UI...Im not sure if its worth it.

Zebra3 on the other Hand will be a must for me. Thanks for the Info here, it seems it wont be too expensive to upgrade...           My first track:
