Hey!

I just came back from the thread about people liking and disliking psychedelic. So i decided to start a new thread about which track you should give to a person who has never heard trance before to make him like it?

I think it must be Infected Mushroom, any song from Classical Mushroom...

Umm.. if a R&B fan was going to shove great R&B (AS IF ) in your face would you begin to like R&B?

You can show them the path but they aren't gonna love it as much as you do if they really don't care ..

Try playing them the stuff that you like and explain what you see in it that is different ..

i think it also depends on the person's background.clasical mushrooms would not have gotten me into the scene, but scizo effective would have.

Hey girl, it depends on what he is listening now.
If he likes house, you should make him listen to the new progressive stuff like Tegma, SBK, Haldolium, Trancefeld etc.
If he's more into techno, make him listen to minimal like Necmi for example.
If he's into rock or stuff like that make him listen to full on or tech-trance.           Majority is never right!

I'd go for Hallucinogen's music. If you want people to love the psychedelia in the music, and not just things that exist everywhere, he makes trance in it's purest form.           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

If he's into mainstream, give him some Yahel. That should do the job

kaz - hallucinogen is not for beginners. Maybe it's trance in it's purest form but when someone is new to trance he can't hear trance it's purest form. It's just too hard for him.

i agree with davolo, you cant really make someone love this music--they have to discover it for themselves. but if you do insist, just take them to a good party--that should do the job.           I never apologize. I'm sorry, but that's just the way I am. Homer J. Simpson

Yes, it depends what music they like, etc.... Astral Projection is a good beginner maybe. And I think you cannot "make" them like it.

Mik A is right... i know a couple people who find many of yahels 'clubby' tracks good and so they consider it psychedelic....start with yahel and then move on...if they have never liked any kind of electronic music at all..then your in a tough spot girl....           ....good fudge comes on slow!!!

I tried get a friend into psytrance, he listened to melodic/club (tiesto etc) trance before so I tried very melodic stuff, like astral, mfg, mwnn. That didnt work too well, so I skipped that and gave some new psy, and that worked better.... So you never know           Ut ameris, amabilis esto.

It's even worse... They don't know what this kind of music is. They kinda never heard of electronic. It's more pop music and alternative. hehehe

And i agree with Kaz... I'd try hallucinogen too. But it also depends on what you usually listen too. Well, the conclusion is: you never know what can attrack someone. Some guys like ugly and stupid girls, i'm wondering what they found in them...
