The techtrance scene never had an explosion. Techtrance was never one of the 2 most popular genres of psytrance, and usually not in the top 3 (progressive and full-on were always more popular, minimal was more popular for a long time, the so called "darkpsy" and now even Suomi is more commonplace). I guess that people just want softer grooves (full-on and darkpsy have the simple 'rolling' groove, progressive nowadays is 99% house in this section, and Suomi is more of a wild-goa bassline improv), and when you talk techtrance (at least, up to the last Midimiliz and X-Dream albums) you meant hard and relentless beats - most people just can't handle it.

do you like electro?

What does liking electro have to do with a psy/techtrance fan? Just like I like progressive psy, just not the house oriented version of it.           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

Yes right. Music is a very personal thing. When i say good music i mean music i like.
Music is always judged subjective.

Wizzy Noise is much more psy trance than techno these days but Cyclotron, was techno oriented album.

hey yall, vey good discussions going on...

Nice one dragoon, i also thought that authentik stopped making music... But thi looks promosing... allthouhg their first EP they released was the best one...

psy^soldier, yeah deffinetly greece got some good things going on, but i havent heard anything from Source Unknown for a long time...

EYB, LOL man you are incurable, you always come on like a grumpy bastard but i know you just say what you think...

Nolightatend, hmm i dont know if you know but there are many different kind of metal bands and so is there with the trance music, techtrance is DEFFINETLY a style, psychedelic techno is not the proper term IMO. If it would be psychedelic techno there would have been more melodies and more bleeps and blops.

In the techtrance style there is almost nothing like that, is almost always based on a pounding groove with almost no (there is always excptions) melodies.

Well i think you get my drift...

Any one to differ with my oppinion?

Cheers and keep the ideas and opinions coming
