Ofcourse it's for the money..
I just don't understand why the hell someone would even buy "best of" album..

Well, simply to have the best songs from an artist without having to buy 4 or 5 albums of his.
That's exactly what I'm going to do with Odyssey : Juno Reactor are pioneers in the genre, and the songs listed in their "Best of" are indeed great. Yet I don't feel like buying all their albums since I don't like all their production that much and I don't have the money for.
Simple as that...

The sad fact is that compilations (same idea as best off CD's) have killed the sale of artist albums and therefore also ruined the chance for people to lsiten to a whole story on a CD in stead of random picked tracks that many times got nothing to do with each other.....
I dont always agree that the tracks they put on compilations represent my best work ! |

Well actually Mark Allen released a kinds best off compilation on Krembo 3 years ago, it was called "Inventive Steps" i reckon.
I wonder if you can call Hallucinogen in dub a "best of" compilation?
