why,and bloody why,i cant hear space tribe masterpiece of trance "the acid test"?!?
i'm pissed by that cause its,in my opinion, the ultimate psychadelic party track, all the track is rising and u never know when the ride is gonna end...
i heared it only once in raja ram party in the tlv (it was in his stash bag) but didnt hear it in other parties, very weird.
if u know the reason plz tell me,and if u r a dj

He's a foreigner. I think he's probably Samoan. But that doesn't matter, though, does it? Are you prejudiced?

DJs are afraid to put tracks not in a certain line of music. No one builds a set to get to play a few good tracks, but rather, people build the set around a certain emotion or idea, as well as the fact that certain tracks don't fit well in a "proffesional" set, because there's not enough material to fill a set in that style (and unfortunately, the few DJs that actually have enough music from all times to play any style they want, won't put a Space Tribe track in the peak of their set, like The Acid Test pretty much demands ).           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

u got some point in that but still... i have this picture in my mind... i imagine the best party i can have and the last track to finish it off... the acid test...           I want you to understand that this man at the wheel is my attorney. He's not just some dingbat I found on the strip, man. He's a foreigner. I think he's probably Samoan. But that doesn't matter, though, does it? Are you prejudiced?

Well, I just think that there aren't enough DJs that play goa/psy sets. 99% of the DJs play full-on, progressive, techtrance, whatever. I haven't heard a single (!) goa set played in Israel since Nadi's retro parties in the desert (and that was a while ago ). Shame. I know it would do wonders on the dancefloor when the sun has been up for a while.           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

i agree it is an excellent track!

kaz: do you think it is more suited for the morning?

i would think maybe at night at the peak of the party or maybe even both night and day.

do you think that if mixing say goa melodic stuff with full-on would work? what would you play first, GMS style stuff or fractal Glider stlye? or maybe start with old goa then move to full-on then finish with new goa, i tried that just now seems ok like theirs peaks and drops...

u can put this track in the middle of the night, morning, afternoon it doesnt matter!
altough its hard to pick whats gonna be after that
i prefer to end the party after that           I want you to understand that this man at the wheel is my attorney. He's not just some dingbat I found on the strip, man. He's a foreigner. I think he's probably Samoan. But that doesn't matter, though, does it? Are you prejudiced?

Gonzo, the main reason why you don't hear 'the acid test' played by Dj's, it's simply due to the fact this track isn't still released (apart in mixed version as you noticed on Raja Ram stash bag).
I heard that it would be vynil released on Spirit Zone in september 2002 with Alkoloid Experiment another stuff from the duo Space Tribe-Electric Universe (as the Acid Test).
For Alkaloid Experiment you'll can hear before on the next cd compilation (middle of august 2002)from Spirit Zone called Sola Sonorum.

it's a great track. but it's much psychedelic. most sets are not made by psychedelic tracks. but it's a good track anyway. old but great track. and most of djs like actualized tracks. tracks that other users didn't listen it.

but it's a great track. it's like the name tell. acid test.

The name "Acid Test" made me recall Ominus - Acid Tester. Great goa trance track
