ya dragon you got it. I know this scene is a place for people to come and lose their egos so there needs to be a personal transition period for all of us when we are newcomers but when veterans display this its really disheartening and it estranges possible trancers of the future who are the only peopl that will keep this alive we need to be tolerant of the people who are trying and intollerant of the people who gave up but keep coming back. just always remember its never about you its about all of us

Cake's cool and all, but our last party I had 6 AM lasagna, and that was about the BEST thing ever at a party. Almost better than sunrise champagne....

I wouldn't change things much... <3 the psytrance scene

Perhaps some people could come off of the idea that things MUST BE A CERTAIN WAY, and that goes for nearly anything. Even the notion of, nighttime psy during these hours, morning during these hours... primitive notions if you ask me. As a previous poster said (but didn't take it this far), let the music do the talking.

Here's one example of how I think people often misread how the crowd will react...

Most of the stuff that gets played on the local/underground scene is a bit more minimal, or less "candy coated" as some people would put it. But take a look at the surging scenes of South America, Israel, Japan, and around the world.... they're listening to upbeat full-on happy stuff at all hours of the day and night. It plays over fantastically with the crowd. I remember at Green Sector new years, Sunbyte whipped out a fantastic Full On Morning set 12-1 (which might have been within time frame, but whatever). It was definitely far more full on than the other stuff getting played that night, but it played over fantastically with the crowd. In fact, the crowd might have gone the craziest for his set of anybody's that night. It's just an example of how one may judge a crowd to be limited on what they would like, but if you play something outside the expectation, it might just go over well anyway. This isn't limited to any one genre of psy though... I believe that all genres can play well in the right hands... and DJ's should just play what's in their hearts instead of worrying about their images.
