there was lot of talk about this being a result of inside job/organiser politics. whats the truth behind this bust ?
we all know who called in the Pune thing. it's ridiculous that partygoers have to pay for an ego war happening at the upper level.
@ insane, u talk about the government doing this shit... thanks to zeitgeist post people know already... but to think that that ideology has percolated into the psy scene if scary ... are there a basis to these rumours? those who know whats happening please speak up.
bottom line and default solution though is to stay sober in public. no matter what happens, you are better off dealing with situations like these with a substance free mind and body.

i guess u got me misunderstood..
wasnt relating psy to govt.. was relating the terrorist activities to govt 
i dont know shit abt wat organisers do to get such events goin in the first place..
as for ur "to be sober" point, completely agree, but speaking to so many people.. theyve started listenin to music after being in another dimention state ... so, there are less music lovers, and more D abusers.. not generalising,, and i cud b wrong. but ive seen it in many places, and thats why i say it. i guess this abusing and showing how flipped u are cant b stopped,, too bad , we have to suffer.

@ insane, yeah I digressed there. there has been some talk about this being a result of insider politics.
anyway, considering that this one of the only countries in the world where you can get convicted for being under the influence, there are not many solutions are there?
my belief is that the psytrance community should be in the forefront when it comes to setting the anti-drug example. Out of all the groups this one will be hounded down till it happens... the one and only solution is right in front of us.
one thing that people don't seem to realise is that it's the organizers responsibility to protect the artists they invite or at the least let them know the risk of having substances on them. eventually this umbrella should cover all attendees.
I'm thinking about starting a national organisation for organizers willing to pledge to certain anti-drug standards. something like the 'drugless dance' that Ireael implemented years ago. If this seems like something people might find necessary, we can open a new thread and talk about it. |

please read what you write because you contradict yourself within 4 lines of thought.
if you want to rope in the media and ngos you need to keep it drugless.
sorry but if this is the attitude of someone who has been "raving since 1995", is a self proclaimed blottereater and is openly agreeing to be posting on this forum while being high then I guess the problem with the scene is obvious.

the question is, if there is a policy that we decide to abide by, how is it going to be implemented ?
- force: ie... policing within the scene by our own.
- growing up/down... a sense of understanding that this is a necessary step at this point of time
- information ... enough information for people to make the choices themselves
- example ... the opposite of that DJ who lights while spinning... ie... promoters and musicians setting an active and obvious example
it's pointless if we decide on something that everyone doesn't contribute to. so anyone who thinks this might be the right way, please state what rules/policies/guidelines you'd like implemented via this organisation.
