yeah thats one way, but it doesn't have to be as polarized as it is right now.

general philosophy sees that if we can't have a hippy-drugfest then it must be an ubercommercial armani-exchance wearing poser scene.

we need to keep the vibe without the drugs. we go the commercial route as well but every event still has that special something that only psytrance music can create. commercial does not have to mean the music has to be different.

STOP POSTING PARTY INFO ON THIS FORUM!!!

I think the mods on the indian forum should accept more responsibility and delete any threads posting any kind of party info. There are obviously too many dumbass users who are gonna keep opening party threads. Look at those jokers posting the kodi party info here. This self-moderation is not working. Whether you like it or not this forum is blacklisted and 'anti-trance' authorities are keeping an eye on any activity that is being spoken about here. If the organizers wanna make it a 'commercial' gig, i suggest dont post it here. Put it on facebook or whatever. Screw fb put up a website it doesnt cost much.

For those who haven't been reading up on whats happening

These crackdowns are being initiated by an NGO known as the Adarsh Samaj Sevak Sangh, run by Kiran Hundal and Afzal Khan.

This is a picture of them:

http://cms.mumbaimirror.com/portalfiles/1/15/200810/Image/071008/Cvr01a.jpg

It would make sense to get in touch with these people to figure out the nature of their work and what policies they would want to see enforced from their point of view. If anyone has info on how to contact them please make it public.

Also, if anyone can clarify the history and management of Scratch Entertainment please do so. Were they in any way related to the bust that happened in Pune last year ?

I think the time for hiding is done, we need to take this issue by the horns and deal with it.

PS ... Adarsh Samaj Sevak Sangh translates to "Idealistic Socitey Service Organization" which would imply that they follow some kind of ideology.

@ phazed, sorry but hiding info online is not the solution to this problem. As far as we know one of the main jobs of the A.S.S.S. is to find parties online, which is not hard at all. Furthermore the organisation behind Technodrome has their own website... I don't see this as any kind of solution.

were not at pune . The reason , Why Nagre patil , Takes these punters with them, Because and only because they serve as a 3rd party witness to the cruel / sophisticated way the cops deal with the situation at the site of the Bust.

pretty sure , nagre faced heat for hitting women and other party revellers at pune , hence this new addition to the line up.

There is only one dude behind this and is Nagre patil . He knows his shit. He is on the forum . And he is not an average thulla. he was dancing like a true trancer at pune , till he took out his weapon . yes a GUN ! .

the saddest part is that here in india there is penalty on consumption as well . So that means at a drugless fest , u need to be clean for a few months to be realy drugless.

Well the 2 things that need to happen now is the release of Shai and making sure something like this does not happen in the future.

Maybe dhamma walker can fill us in on the policies behind the Dance Ganesh and how that event remains clean and clear in public ?

Whether it is political or not isn't something I know about of yet. What I do know is that the narcotic police do not get many opportunities to make money outside their stipulated salaries and busts like this are the only way for them to sustain their livelihoods. Many people out of the 250 odd caught are out of this mess because financially they are backed up.

From what I know, Afzal Khan from the NGO is an upcoming politician so I guess he had an angle toward why he did this. Shais lawyer has been changed to the man responsible for the recent arrest of Raj Theckray. I'm hoping he gets out soon and I think they've applied for his bail. We'll have to wait and watch I guess.

I have to agree with the people who said the only way to have a true psytrance party in India anymore is to keep it completely underground, that means NO POSTING of any information anywhere. People are invited by the org. and by word of mouth the right people get to know about the party. You really think a drugless party is possible? I dont think so. If you goto a club, a concert, anywhere, to the fuckin cinema even you will find people under the influence of something or the other. Our government's view of ds has to change, i mean come on its time for that, we all know it, these fuckin drug policies were forced on our country in the first place by other countries, i.e. USA. This whole party busting thing is like a big spectacle for the police to take part in and they are assisted by our shameless media. If the media wouldnt give the busts any attention I doubt they would occur so often. So in my view there are 3 options: 1) Keep it ridiculously underground 2) try and change national drug policy 3) stop the media from giving it attention.

@mods: please delete that kodai thread opened by some jackass.

2) try and change national drug policy
3) stop the media from giving it attention

massive options there ohm. how do you suppose we're going to go about making them happen ? remember, we're trying to look at viable options here, not another intellectual debate.

@ mk47... I didn't get your reason for trance ganesh being what it is, and no one said anything about LSD. the question was how the people who attend these events are kept from the common habits such as lighting a joint in public. is it because the media are present ?

anyway, I've PM'd dhamma walker and requested him to post a reply. lets just wait and see what he has to say.
