Common mate you got my point no need in argue! I understand you so try to understand me! I understand what you trying to say when u say Talpa is great CD, because it's music not that mainstream and remind old great tunes, thou ifail to understand you when you speak about sound! it's just we speak on different language. It's not about America or you being American who knows the ruling music. I say things that are facts, this is bad sound and it's musicalwise it sound like IM and Simon Posford. Just tell me i'm wrong! You say hting based on your emotions, and i do respect it, thou I WANT GORAN TO MAKE BETTER SOUND.

the sound on that CD is not that bad. that's what I was trying to tell you. Lots of people play it, on big and small rigs, and it doesn't sound bad at all. Nothing a bit of an EQ or gain adjustment wouldn't cure.

and that's that.

Ok i'm convinced. I'll take the CD to work today and will play it for 5067th time. Let's hope that my ears will endure the overlapping of kick drum and the bassline in the 7th track. Life is tough. Obstacles in every corner.           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

I agree with Pavel. First time i listen it on normal speakers and it didn't sound very bad..but when i play it in studio, it sound really bad.
I have all the respect for my friend Talpa and his good music, but the mastering made by the australian label...well is sucks !!!
Too bad, because the music is really good !!

Atma, it is not about quality of mastering. It is basic hearing of musician's ears! Let's take a look on Kemikal or whatever his name (Maltese artist). His CD sound bad because of low skilled mastering, probably made by his own. Althought his ears could determine plastic sounding and remove it with software tools available today. Kemikal's CD suck ass (in mastering aspect) as usual for "dark" psytrance but it is not as plastic and unnatural sounding of Talpa.

Just to mention i speak of sound design only not music which can be arguable personal taste!

Well it's mastering isn't great either! I agree on that, but plastic sounding bothers me much more!

yeah, Wonka, but you also think Timo Maas makes "good music."

Disqualified.

Yes he does, that's why me and you still remember that name. Have you ever heard remix of Depeche Mode by Timo Maas. When Talpa, GMS or Infected Mushroom will reach that musical level of skills then talk to me!

When Timo Maas will reach that musical level that allows him to make music of his own and not to remix everything else then talk to me.

aha.. I know that name because it's one of the most heavily marketed "musicians" in the world. please, i had to go through that whole progressive wave here for a couple of years. boring as boring gets.

I don't judge the music by its production quality, but by the ideas and sounds that are in it.

cheers

Then probably Talpa won't sound the same as Infected Mushroom and Hallucinogen!
Still Timo Maas is much better in his remixes than many of psytrance artists so please a bit of respect!

Dimitri, you not the one to speak here because you point Talpa is most creative and unique artist when he is cheap faker (never wanted to say that but it is the truth).

Well you did discredit yourself before with many of what you have said here and in manner you have said it.

Let's make a little comparison between Talpa's and Timo Maas's first albums "Loud" versus "The Art Of Being Non".

Production is different level
Mastering is different level
Timo Maas's album have a chart hit which played on radio for many month being leading chart song, when Talpa even not a huge success for psytrance.
Music itself, matter of taste so i won't agrue here. Let's deal with facts, sells!

Simple thing is that you say Timo Maas is bad muscian while you call Talpa best psytrance album for many years. All i mentioned above are pure facts, when about music i decide from statistical review, album sells. I won't go into Australian albel pockets but i'm quite sure the number of sells are in large gaps due to fact ppl like his music more than Talpa's.
I don't compare Talpa's album directly to Timo Maas's number of sells since it is stupid and unprecise. I do compare number of sells Talpa's album did with other psytrance, when Timo Maas i compare to dance/overground artists of electronic music.

So with all due respect to Talpa who being worshipped by you, i can say "person who call Timo Maas untalanted musician and remix stealer when he himself listens to Talpa's music" is quite a wrong argument. Doesn't it?
