hi all,
i just heared the new release from talamasca and i have two words: FULL-ON!
and i ask, here me asking, why???
why why why, such a fine artist like talamasca, that make night music and have his very "talamastic style" of his - that definds him all the way throgh his crietions!)fall to this ctrl c\v music of the main?
i realy dont hear any defierent between the "new talamasca" and other full-on artists in the scene those days...
it is relly sad.
what do u thinks about this album & talamasca's turning point?
p.s- thogh i have to say that for a full-on release he is way better then many full-on relleases that i heared.

I think he mean you felt in the Full On cloning thingie... and that your new morning"whatever" sound suck compared to your old 3D style.
I tend to agree, Magnetic Field was a killer track. So does Sagitarius and Gemini. And many i can't remember the name right now. I like pumping bassline like Nomad, CPU & Absolum. But still, everytime i listen to a track with Talamasca in it, i tend to like it alot!
I'm sure there will be 1-2 track on you new album that will play more then often in my future DJ set.

Hmmm, don't agree. I see Talamasca being one of the pioneers in full-on music. His music has always been wild, pumping, and along with GMS, he have influenced the full-on genre alot... imo. |

Not correct DvP, he made a marvelous chill-out track on Module 01 from 3D Vision. A really stunning track, totally surprised me... didn't know he had that kinda depth in him.
So if you're listening, Talamasca, please do some more chill-out tracks!  |

I have never seen any of the Full-on as morning music... It's simply too fast, too multilayered and got nothing to do with morning music. Of course that's my personal opinion but Cedric know what I am talking about....  |

I agree raider.
Also the track "Joint o clock" in Musica Divinorum album is something completely different. Much better than his regular 145 bpm tracks imo.

Zodiac is the most full on here, and Made in Trance is has some goa atmosphere

i dont feel too full-on atmosphere at the 3 past releases you know, its sortof in the background, except maybe in beyond the mask.
Sputer; for example: i really liked the cd Musica Divinorum, i dont agree that this disk is morning music. maybe Cedric used a typical full-on bass line in creating it (vb1 i think, fix me if im wrong Cedric ;-) ) but i think it totally night music. it fast, it has strong rhythms, it has vb1 notes on it, voice samples once n awhile... all indicates it full-on – but, the atmosphere here has a night feel, something else and very special, i think that this cd just brilliant. but so on Zodiac... (i felt the same feeling also in Zodiac.).
what i tried say is that cedric have really special style that he develop through his creations and it define him – his feelings and the result -> his music. a style that i like very much.
in the new cd i feel a beet less of that style. i feel "a typical full-on atmosphere" and less of talamascas special night feelings that defines him in Musica Divinorum & Zodiac.

p.s- Cedric; you turned a 90 degrees turn ;-) (because basically you had at the half of your way to full-on music but still kept that “night feel” of yours.) ;-)
but it what you created and it “made in trance” and it sounds just beautiful and I do liked it. ;-)

I also think in general Cedric's music fits night parfectly .. but some ultimate morning mind blowers like Pisces were always there !! a year ago it was a nice party in NY

i gotta say I like the new album sort of a fusion between "Beyond the Mask" and "Musica Divinorum"
I guess thats how he ended up with "Time Hunter" and flake I also consider Cedric more of a morning man
