Taking out the trash...

I guess I can say that most of us, if not all of us, like nature parties. Right?
We like to come to a natural place, untouched by Man, and enjoy its buety. So please, tell me, why is it that everytime when we leave this place we distroy it?

When I left the Beat Bizarre party yesterday at 10:00, the amount of trash spread around on the ground was amazing, and could easily fill a container.  Plastic bottles, empty cans, plastic bags, food wrappers (bisli, bamba, cookies...) , chewing gum wrappers, etc. This party was in a nature reserve, and it was really sad to see it left like a dumpster.

I know that I'm a bit fanatic about this subject, I brought a garbage bag with me, and me and my friends cleaned up the immediate area of our tent, including cigarette butts.  That's me, but I can't clean after everyone, you can't expect me too, and I don't think we should expect the organizers to do that for us.

If we all just pick up our trash before we leave, put it in the car and then throw it away in the first gas station we see, we'll have a great place to come to the next time.  A place which will stay natural and clean.

I promise that the next time I come to a nature party, I won't bring a single garbage bag, but a whole pack of them, so that if what I wrote here moved you guys only a bit, and you'd forgotten to bring a garbage bag, you can take one from me.  It would be my pleasure.

PLUR to nature and people !

Yes, you're absolutely right Eddo.
It's good to bring this subject up, the quesiton is, will it really help?
Those who do it don't really care, and I doubt if they will ever change their behaviour

right on man , it bothers me too . a bit of personal responsibility and we may leave the nature as clean as it was . first of all u got to pick up all your garbage of the tent area , then u u can take the bags with u or leave them on a road - and organaizers will just collect them in the afternoon with their jeep . keep the nature clean

Yeah well, people just don't care. After dancing all night pumped with... the music, people quickly drink and pass the bottle on to someone else while dancing, and the last one can't be bothered to stop dancing for a moment, so he throws it somewhere. It's ugly, it's not right, but that's the way it is.

I'm sure that good concerned ppl like the PLUR ppl, who love the nature and have fun there, can be responsible enough to pick up their own garbage - it's not so much anyway.

I think the Organizers should think of putting some garbage cans too - I've been to parties without ones.

To tell you the truth, I've never seen a nature party where the organizers put garbage bins in the area, and they should.  It will make they're life easier as well.

There was one party I was in that when it ended, the organizers went around with a pack of garbage bags and gave them to people asking them to help clean the area up.  People, as trashed as they were, got up and cleaned the area and that really made me happy.  That's a party I'll remember for that (told you, I'm fanatic about this subject).

All of you organizers who read this thread, please take these two points into consideration the next time you do a party.  We'd all have a better time, and we'd all appreciate you guys more.

There are people who care and unfortunately there are people who like to dance in a beautiful nature resort but don’t care to leave it dirty and ugly afterwards.
Altogether, if the place is dirty after the party it is the responsibility of the organizers to leave the place clean.
If they do not do it they should be condemned for it. I’ve been to other nature parties where the organizers stayed in the resort a day longer to clean up everything (including cigarettes).

In some parties they give the people trash bags in the end:)
but you're right, most people are too lazy to do it and only try to find their car asap ..

i think its just the Israeli mental,
in the burning man festival there is about 30,000 ppl and even if u dig hard u wont be able to found even 1 ( "bdal" ) cigarete on the floor,
u finish to smoke u put the cigarte in u'r pocket , its very beautifull to c that.

you are absolutely right. this is the ugly part of the israeli mentality. it doesn't matter if it is trance people or "mangal" people.

You're off the subject and I don't agree with you.  It's not neccesarily the Israeli mentality.  I've been to enough places in the world where there were no Israelis and the place was trashed.
The problem is with people in general, citizenship unimportant.

You are absolutly right karnaf... people need to start thinking about this kind of things... I'm from Brazil and here we have many nature parties too, in the outdoors... and I think those are always the best festivals and parties... but there are always people who can't take care of their garbage... I went to Celebra Brasil, a big festival that took place in Paraty, a beutiful beach near Rio de Janeiro... I took lots of garbage bags and around our camping area me and my friends collected as much garbage as we could, but the place was still a mess... so, what i'm saying is that people need to take care of these beautiful places before we can't have parties there anymore...  after all, nature is to be watched and enjoyed, not trashed like a dumpster...
