First, Shivas I don't believe u - I think u hate me and it makes me very miserable ;-(

Secondly, Yaniv u r entitled to like or dislike the music I make cuz at the bottom end it's matter of TASTE. When I make a track what most important to me ( before 10 other things.. ;-) ) is if I LIKE it - but as far as i remember it's a long time from my stream to mainstream and therefore I guess that many ppl don't really like/understand/apricciate it whatever and it's alright mate - it's only natural.

What I would expect from any one ( that likes or dislikes ) is to say something in the spirit - 'I think that Yuli's disk sucks because he uses too much bass and it's altogether not as much uplifting stuff as I usually would like to hear therefore I am sorry I bought it and it will raise dust on my shelf from this day forward'. Now that is opinion - and u r entitled to have one.

Anyway - thanx for the compliment, I am glad u liked this after a few times u listened to it due to public pressure - the main idea of this kind of music and of many 'boring' things of that kind that you supposed to find the special moments and appreciate it the more u listen to it. I am glad it worked in your case ;-)

Bom Bom,

Yuli

cummon Kebab, the man was a bloody kant! :-)
The fact that we can't explain art in absolute measurable variables doesn't mean we can't explain it at all. We can use some variables that are also accountable to others, these others can see if we and them use similar variables and decide what use can they do with our opinions.

Shahar, in most common things i will agree with you
i am no sextus empiricus we have our way of telling which kind of knowledge is better or at list think we can
but in art its difer. (there r many problems about it in modern and post modern era).
and i`ll stop this here.
after all its a trance forum not philosophy

BTW - i think yuli`s album is by far the best israeli trance or lets say electronic album of this year(EAT THIS RAN SLAVIN)

Yuli said he uses too much bass... What about treble? What would you say about the hats in you tracks? I mean high freqs give crispy sound, it's ok, but everytime I listen some (not all) Yuli's tracks, I have feling that the hats sound ... err... separately from the track, _very_ metallic, but maybe it's because they are very clean. Get my point? Someone had the same feeling?

Hey Paul,

I got myself a little 'mess' by responding in the first place.. So I will say no more about my own stuff - it's your part.. I have finished mine ;-)

Except one thing.. he he

What I said about too much bass etc. was said as a way to show how I see 'correct' criticism of music, even though the Grill Master didn't agree ;-)

Actually, before the mastering was made ( BTW by the most excellent sound engeneer I have met in my life - Viet was his name, the only one I can c in his level in Istael is Ziv 'BabaGanOOshka' ) there were even more sub bass somewhere in the 40 - 50 hz area... So we decided to roll some of it to make the tracks little bit less massive in the sub bass ( which is worse for home listening ) but more danceable ( which is just great for Clubbing )

As an answer to the Hat question - yes, I believe that the hats in my tracks sound different than most of this genre - it's not only hats but the whole perc section cuz I try to do the 'put the band back together again' ( Blues Brothers.. ) sound ;-)
I mean I like the main man feel behind the drums.. Check out the Zeppy sound ( it was the first time IMHO that a band dared to put their drummer IN EVERYBODY'S FACE... it was just great ) So I ain't no drummer, but I try to make the feel that there is one behind every track I make - That is the reason for the 'extreme' separation of certain drum patterns from the main theme of the track.
Again I guess it may seem weird to some and fun to some others..

That is a promise that it was my last message to this forum about that disk or any other track of mine..

Bom Bom

You have got me all wrong ya yuli.
i have nothing against critism -infact thats one of my major things i do in life.-he he.
so don`t get me wrong- i just think that critism
as long as you don`t say:"this is rubbish"
is comming from your own point of view and people
can or can`t agree with you.

Hey Chaitu,

It depends on where r u... If u r in Leh in Kashmir or trekking somwhere around Annapurna in Nepal is down south..
It was in Parvatti Valley on a mountain side - friends only - sort of like tops 30 ppl and I must say that the vibe of the mountains just blew me away that morning..

Yo man, I have to get back - I hadn't been to India far too long ;-)
