BIG thanks to all the Touch Samadhi crew that made this happen, it was a pleasure to be a part of something organized so well, everything went sooo smooth. i think its getting better and better each year.
thanks to God for such amazing weather to enjoy this festival.
nice tunes from lots of folks!! twarped, cinder, primordial ooze, the malah, NOD!! (sounded really cool with the sun out), klaws, silver machines, scorb, random!!, and kris set at the end all sounded very proper.
moksa and dokta.... i was djing on the 2nd stage and missed your sets but i heard they were smoking, always nice to chill with you guys though.
it was a lot of fun to throw down some darker tunes as well!

and yes we should change the name of the chill stage to dub/chill/jam/dstep/minimal/techno/progressive stage;)

nice to meet so many cool folks from up north, glad you guys made the trek down, i hope you found a place to stay sunday night.. next year i think it should go from thursday night to monday morning...so people coming from faraway will be able to relax more..

it doesnt surprise me that people coming to this land for the first time feel the magic here. i feel very fortunate to live so close to a festival and crew with such pure intentions.
i hope some pictures show up...our sets should be up fairly soon.

see everyone next year!

peace

big boom to touch samadhi for another incredible stomp in the mountains. and thank you for bringing scorb!! damn, i've been a fan of his music for a while now but i was still blown away by his set. he's taking his music to another level, deep, dark, and mysterious, almost had a medieval vibe to it. the sounds were warm and the sequencing was very intelligent and reserved, letting each track creep up slowly, getting into your mind and body. then hearing random after that, great energy, really enjoyed the darker twilight melodic tracks, and the sequencing of his music is just insane, very musical and technical at the same time, all while watching the sunrise with the fog churning out of the lake behind the main stage, quite an experience
friday night was a blast too, great sounds all night and good energy on the dancefloor. and a big shout to don for a slamming nod set saturday, that primus rmx was on point.
and thank you to everyone for bringing the good vibes, these weekends always go by too quick, should dance for four days next year!

Hot damn…what a weekend! Thanks to everyone in the Touch Samadhi family who makes this event possible each year (missed you Monkey...wish you could have been here with us). I am incredibly grateful to be a part of it all. Big thanks to the folks who came out from all over the place to support the cause (we had such a great turnout from Atlanta too!). It was definitely the most rocking crowd I have seen in Asheville perhaps ever (?). It certainly felt that way. Thanks to all the Producers and DJs for the wonderful and varied music. Thanks for the positive comments on my set. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did performing. I love festivals like this where there is something for everyone to enjoy!!!

Do we really have to wait until next year for the next one!?!?! I’m ready to get down this weekend!!!!

I second this !!!!!! Not much more I could say,,

From our dear new friend Olessya ......

" What a blessing of Gods was this Annual T>O>U>C>H SAMADHI 5th Festival in North Carolina!
This land is indeed a holy one. In the setting of beautiful mountains full of apple orchards, lakes and ponds found its place one of the memorable events of my entire life! From the moment you get here, you know that there will be no bad vibes, only the best ones, and you will be surrounded by REAL people who dig very real music. This music has no limit, the only one is the sky:) That is how I can introduce TRANCE music to the lost souls who never discovered the beauty of this genre. The lineup was huge, all artists were surprising and quite original, blasting their music over huge fields full of happy people. It is trance music, great artists and people that make it possible. The difference you see at festivals like that vs the "drinking party crap sort of festivals" is that you can never see, I mean NEVER anyone experiencing negativity, rude and unpleasant attitude, not even mentioning any fights. And people, oh all these people who make an effort to travel for more than 12 hours and even 24 hours by cars to make it so they can enjoy, truly enjoy themselves, make this festivals possible, give, give , give and give! 2 nights and 3 days of the most memorable events, it is so little and so much. We had fantastic fire dancers performing their show, we have heard many great names, we have met face to face with people I had a strong urge to meet! I have brought more than 7 CD's from various musicians. On my way home to Atlanta when I hit the point called Homie I started crying, thinking how I much I will be missing these people, Asheville, my new friends, and eternity of holy trance sound. I have taken a very important decision to move to Asheville in a very near future. This is my new goal to be with people that I truly love, bring positive vibes, facilitate any healing process by giving, giving, giving without wanting anything in return. I was blessed to participate in the best Kundalini workshop of my life as well lead by this very light girl from Asheville. I have traded massages with one more angel, who's name is Moly McClelan from Georgia. I have met sweet Courtney Leppi, Heart and Cameron, Vince,Lora and Elena, 3 Erics and so many more people whose names I can’t re-call now but who will always be staying my heart. There is nothing more rewarding than sharing happy experiences with like minded people who are not made of $ signs and fake values and beliefs that mass media and politics are poisoning our minds with! Long live the TRANCE, long live the PSY, long live this glory of trance culture and you all be blessed because you can glance at it if you are lucky enough if you haven't already got this concept of pure love towards each other and true devotion to psy music. I have found my new home in Asheville, I have found where my soul is again Thank you to Kri, TOUCH SAMADHI for making this Festival possible. Thank you all who performed and enjoyed it together in North Carolina. IN TRANCE WE TRUST…. "

Wow .. what an awesome reunion ! Awesome sound and deco with a stellar line-up of talent .. I just wish it could last about a week ! haha ~

I really liked the having the sound system on the ground in that spot in front of the stage .. the positioning had a direct impact on the dance floor and really channeled the energy well. I regret missing so many sets but after a 10 hour drive to the site and preparing for a 10 hour drive back sunday to be at work by 7am monday, even I had to catch a nap somewhere in the mix ! I could still keep the beat in my translucent state for the most part though.. The sets i did hear were perfect for that time of day and night... Cinder , Medisin, Moksa, Primordial Ooze, KT, Moksa, Witchdokta - very refreshing !
.. and of course our guest of honor - SCORB !
I wasn't prepared for the "Phatness" that he layed on us with his new live set ! Dropping remixes and originals with he and Deviant Species ( Squid Inc http://www.myspace.com/squidincorporated ) , he and Concept ( Prism
http://www.myspace.com/theprismproject), and he and NRS ( RAM ) ! Scorb is truely a modern master composer and producer which has definitely had an impact on myself and my electronic music loving friends !

Here's a few pics I managed to get ::

wow what a festival.
i feel i am so blessed to experience such a festival. Honestly speaking, after so many festivals, this was the one i enjoyed the most. everything was so perfect, from the location, music, organization, people, vibe, deco, energy on the dance floor and basically everything-----just perfect.

Music: all the DJ are to be blamed for splattering my brains all over the place. scott u totally destroyed me early morning, what a twisted set. Richard, dude hands down, u got some kind to energy, have yet to see a dj jumping n dancing, communicating with the crowd so freaking well, what a set u played. scorb, listening to ur sound was a somthing out of this world, wat a time i had just hanging round by the fire n listening, it was like every track was taking me some weird place. Random the day light, the sunshine n ur powerfull tracks kept a smile on my face and feet stomping all the way till Kri finished it off. After a long time i heard some good-ol-goa style pumping twisted music. hands down to all the other Dj's for doing such a great job, u guys are the best.

The people were so down to earth n humble havnt seen a crowd like this, everyone was so helpful, giving, smiling. I feel so fortunate that i came across some really great people, and the interesting conversations. I really hope to see each one of you'll again next year. Location as usual was beautiful, truly deerfields is magical....there is something about that place.

again i want to thank the organizers for truly giving me something so beautiful, i feel so blessed. it was worth the 13 hour drive frm NYC, & hell yeah i am coming back.
thank you guys again for making the last out door of the year so memorable. c all u guys next year.
