What do you prefer??

Why so many movies from all around the world are synchronized with an appropriate language??

Are people so lazy to read or what??

I can't understand this, so please everybody share own point of view...

I prefer a subtitle... English and all balkan region movies aren't a problem to me, but for german, indian, swedish, japanese ect I need a decent subtitle to catch dialogs, even though I've watched many movies without a subtitle and the experience was pretty good...

My point is... Why synchronization?? For me it's meaningless... where is the actors voice charisma here?? what about the character that he/she plays?? where are the feelings, all those emotions that actors supposed to express through the characters?? I just can't understand the synchronization?? The people want to see just the action in the movie, not the deep parts, all those dramatic parts that makes the movie powerful?? Lazy people or what?? Maybe there are some voice masters with ability to recreate every goddamn actor's voice???? Hmm..

So what do you think???

You must mean Dubbing vs Subtitles right?
Personally here in Israel it's almost always subtitles and sometimes, usually in cartoons they make a Hebrew Dub.
I really really can't see myself watching a movie with anything other than the original dubbing. It's a very very important of the film and I can't understand how can anybody enjoy a movie with a crippled Audio content.
Also if I put the subtitles on it's usually in English and not Hebrew because a lot of the time they make mistakes in movies. The funniest would be the mistakes they make when translating tech-related parts. Like I remember in Star Trek they were putting up a lot of really goofy translations. Not that I blame them cause the source is goofy as well.           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

Yes I meant dubbing, but I think I will always call it and write it synchronizing... I don't know, It seems to me like synchronize, even if it's wrong Mostly because me and my friends always like to say synchronized movies... Never mind guys, you know what I mean... For now, I will use "dubbing" and "dubbed" movies only for comments spaces on some torrent sites where I can ask for subtitles

Now I'm off the topic, let's return a bit...

Come on people, nobody here wants to watch movies on their national language?? Come ooooon... So many synchronized movies and not even one of you who enjoy watching such movies?? Really would be pleased to read why??

Respect to all and waiting reply ...

subtitles for me.
Though there are exceptions as rich pointed. I once had an amazing time with Rambo on the Turkish channel dubbed in Turkish.           ---------------------------------------------

These days the tv movie channels like Star Movie, HBO, etc. are going crazy with subtitles. So you have english voiceover with english subtitles. Its too damn distracting... Im always paying more attention to the subtitles.

Was discussing with a friend the other day how Apocalypto subtitling was done so well that you dont realize ure reading at the same time never miss out on the visuals. Anyone else felt this with Apocalypto?           -.-. .... --- --- ... . / .-.. --- ...- .
