as for cops..
its the SYDNEY cops are crazy..
but like anything we must respect where we are.. what we doing..
u see more Sniffer Dogs and Drug Bust at venues in Sydney, then Melbourne.
i find the Sydney Bouncers/Security MORE scary then the ones in melb.
People smile more in melbourne, and its quite common for strangers to talk to you in Melbourne (like when u at bus or train station) - while in sydney people dont do that..
the weather is colder in Melbourne (during winter) - but the people in melbourne are DEFINITELY warmer!!
Melbourne is more student orientated, with the city reminds me of a Huge Campus! hehe..
Rent & Living Expenses are cheaper in melbourne..
and there are LOTS of work here.. same as Sydney..
so, id LIVE in Melbourne, and fly to Sydney for the parties (cuz the money u can save on rent here - u can use it for cheap flights to sydney..)

i reckon both the places rock and its not difficult to travel btween them..very cheap now a days...u cud be in sydney and go to gig in melbourne on the weekend and be bk in sydney by sunday nite and vice versa..dont knoe much about the cops in melbourne..but i have had some funny incidents in sydney for sure...the first one was when i organised a two day party with doofpix(australia) couple of years ago on the beach down south without any permissions...the party went crazy from friday till sunday morning when the cops arrived seeing the party on full boom....it was my b'day aswell and i was in the middle of my set when i saw the cop walkin towards me and looking at my fuked up state from last two days...finally he came to the console wished me birthday and said njoy the party and went off... second one was in spetember last year when i organised another outdoor called chakra on 13th sept...up north of sydney...unfortunately the next day the bush fires stated around the region and about 200 of us were surrunded by the four cop cars,fire brigades and rangers on the bikes..asking us to to vacate immidiately...well though we had to pack up everythin from generater to sound system to garage..but the whole community stood by and we packed up the whole party including the garbage in just about 30 minutes...cops were friendly and nice..even though i wasent an australian citizen they dint put any charges against me...
