Trust me mate you are out of reality and you cant even imagine how easy police can shut down your event even if you are the most legal promoter in the world.Things are much more complicated than you think.
Police and SDOE can shut down your event just by claiming that the register in the bar doesnt print enough ink in the receipts that you give to the customers.Not to mention noise pollution even if you are hosting the party in the middle of nowhere..

Oh by the way you dont stand a chance of renting a big club from its owner if you are not many years into the night life of Athens.

narcosis and I have made contacts with many club owners in athens,mostly small ones and some which carried an established firm,but when the talk went to the type of music and we responded,they went ehmmm,you know... tralala what a beautiful weather and nonsense so detox,we know what you mean.
but not so long ago we enjoyed great parties in athens like the autumn fest at vox or the party with iraklis and atmos in june.so,what narcosis wants to say is that with a little help from the dead presidents,we think,that we can revive the "every saturday a mini fest" theme again.but in order to achieve something like that we need the support of other people also.and that is what he wants to say...

So CRX you tottally understand what i mean.
The problem with Athens is that the authorities have a very strange attitude towards electronic music in general,i mean they even managed to close U Matic which was one of the most famous clubs in Greece.
I dont know but for me the best thing is to stop all parties (and i mean ALL) for some months,maybe till end of summer,and then from September and the new season to make up one big team that will host two events every month to start things from the beggining.Thats the best solution for me,till then just enjoy private events and do some travelling to other countries

well, its a good idea if u consider that nothing realy exciting is happening in this city! so, i believe that if this is going to take place we shouldnt bring the usual djs such as: monroe, joti, max and u know..something else! like digital talk, melicia, wrecked machines, infected mushrooms, son kite... what do u think? |

something else? as far as i know those artists have played in Greece quite a lot  Or am I wrong?
As for the situation with the Police. Yes it's fucked but if I was you (I am not of course) I would try to organise myself in some sort of grassroot movement and start to fight back politically! Go to the EC Human Rights comission and get support from them. It's surely a violatioon of your Human Rights what's going on in Greece. Your a member of EC. Use that advantage |
