i arrived at hi-fi bar straight from work on friday afternoon to help d-mak set up. By that time there was not that much to do as he already had the place looking pretty shmick!!!
A lovely dinner was had with the sub 6 boys and a few of the crew, then a quick shower and it was time to return to hi-fi for what would end up being one hell of a night.
Tim started us of with some of his great stuff, was really nice to hear him play live and i am sure you will benefit from the experience when your travels take you to other shores!!!!
Drew - little genious, when i heard you play a month or so ago for the first time in a long time and the boys had told me that you were playing a lot more proggy i was a little dissappointed. but after hearing you a few times since then i thiknk your new stuff is sensational. a few beautiful proggy numbers in there and thank god you retreived that track of the computer, the remix is definately a winner.
Fridler Vs D-mak - it was our first public Vs set and due to both of us staying a litle away from our music boxes lately, we were a little toey to start with. After a few trax (and many many a scotch) we settled in and had a ball up there. I hope you all enjoyed!!
Dmak your mixing was again sensational and it was great to see you enjoying some full-on again.....have we brought him back or have we still lost him forever???????
SUB 6 (live) - fucking brilliant, Ohad's drumming was out of this world, a true trance spectacle!!! They combine so well together and all the remixes/live mixes of every track were amazing. these guys really are the next big thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dj set - one thing for sure is that it was BANGING!!!!! but not your run of the mill banging, there was some quality full on being played and i thought both of their mixing was outstanding.
Cant wait to hear them again (RSF, maybe??????)
Ozzy - well he banged it like only ozzy can, a lot of guitars and some heavy heavy trance. a bit of astrix in there too. i must say oz that your mixing was as good as i have ever heard from you, on ya mate!!!
Well, i thought the place looked sensational, great number of people, really good crwod and space. i had a ball!!!!!
D-mak - again you proved why you are one of the best promoters in melbourne, quality production every time with little mess and fuss. I await your next installment. Big thumbs up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
