i would recommend for a person to visit the country they are thinking of living in, and try to spend some time there to really get a feel for the place and the people. maybe travel alone so you are forced to meet more people. spend at least a week or 2.
if you wanna go to europe, for me, i would stick to the mediterranean region - delicious food, great parties in the summer, beautiful weather and beautiful girls. what more can one ask for?

Well in winter I would deffinitly prefer northern europe, there is just so much more going on.
In summer yes the mediterranean, but then if you want do study, again I would go up north.
