Well, I am a Hindu
My Father is a Hindu, North Indian
My Mother is a Zoroastrian, Central Indian.
My Husband is a Westerner  who doesn;t flinch when I call him a foreigner.

I believe Fria is a Hindu, which is the spice in the discussion and the reason I got involved.
I just find it pathetic when someone tries to correct someone when they are actually the ones that are wrong, and then on top of that goes on claiming that you have to be a specific race to have a chance to have an informed opinion on a subject.

Sure I agree with what u wrote above Spindrift - as I have no clue as to why Fria manages to say such idiotic stuff
Perhaps coming from a Hindu family makes her a Historian on the religion - even tho she never practiced it - my father is Brahmin - doesn't make me a professor on it! |

I can appreciate you feel strongly about the subject, and I certainly agree that the view of Kali and tantra is many times very twisted, especially in the west, so I think I understand your mission.
It would been great if we could have managed to share insights and experiences instead of having an argument over semantics...but at least we managed to have some kind of discussion about religion without getting the thread closed which is something at least

SPindrift..if you can point me to any one temple in India that holds a Kali in a sexual position I will truly rethink my beliefs. Maybe I am wrong.
I however have never come across a Kali in a temple in sexual positions as the sexual aspect is not accepted in Hinduism...these are purely Tantrik Kula concepts not used by Hinduism or deity worship..but I could be wrong and maybe you have come across one, in a temple. I would be very interested if you could give me any literature on the same, in all honesty..you could PM me..I am very interested to know if such do exist.
