let me say it again for the people who forgot to listen before posting
i dont deny that there is dark music.

thats what i have a problem with.
please try to pay attention so i dont have to keep posting the same damn thing again and again...

@ocelot
i have a question for you mate,as i know you are a psychedelic trance artist and i think you are the most proper guy to answer me:the ? for me is that ok stop calling it dark but why alot of this scene artists used the words SATAN,HORROR,BLOOD,KILLER,FEAR,NIGHTMARE,DEMON,CHAOTIC, etc........for expressing the music that they make:expressing i mean give a track name album name or to name only a party like killer.....i think the meaning of the word dark is held inside the music that they-you make.....
if i-you not in this scene and you dont have a clue for this dark-white thing and you-i see this kind of track names or artists name what youre - i gona think?that this is a music with light?or with no agression?nop....
this is my opinion about this, iam not a fan of this kind of music but iam trying to see the things like a common pl...
i think that you-the pl that they are involved with this music have to stop calling this music dark first of all.....
yaman mutu! |

Triplag webradio has come upon a term for 'dark'psy that I think is particularly fitting:
PsyStomp.
The logic is that it is not trance anymore, nor is it dark, so it needs a new name.
I think its better than Dark but at the same time, it may take some getting used to!

??????? huh?????
listen to me please it will make sense if you actually listen
there are dark tracks- go ahead and call them dark. (whether or not someone calls their track "horror kill scream" is unrelated to the content of the track but this suggests yes- the artist wants it to be seen as dark)
there is an entire body of "other" trance that is mislabelled as dark. this covers a wide range of tracks that follow none of the cliche formulas (aka dark, fullon, prog, etc...) and dont really need a blanket term due to their diversity.
i guess this boils down to a new topic which i will start soon- called "we so called openmindedpeople are awfully narrow minded sometimes"
or maybe its the level of intellectual discourse on isratrnce forum.
or maybe its just me...
how foolish of me to push for opening the mind...

i dont disagree with what you are trying to communicate. Just in the matter of how your doing it.
there is no need to post the same "damn" thing again and again or have feelings of exasperation over things that you cannot control. Sometimes when i read your posts, i have noted on many occasions that you talk down to many people as if you are superior. There is definitely a sense of elitism with the way you write your pompous written orations.
if you would of read or "actually listened" to what i wrote, you will see that i agreed with your assertion of the mislabeling of "dark" too often.
But, since there is no absolute or unequivical way of "correctly" labeling psychedelic music, you are just going to find yourself becoming more discouraged and "exasperated" as you stated....over things that you have no control over.

Hey guys who cares what a genre is called. Genres are just there to help the listener decide rather it's something they might like. I personalyl don't like most music labelled as dark but I still listen to it from time to time to see if there might be some artists that I like.
I have to admit that sometimes there is some mislabelling. Such as ambient music that has a pretty heavy beat, to me ambient has no beat.
I wish we could throw genres out all together but I think it's necessary when looking for new music!
If it sounds good its good who cares what its called |
