You know when the dancefloor is filled with people. But still theres no confusion, no flying hands hitting your face ect. When you look around, you can see people in lines just stomping. Then whats stomping? Stomping (imo so far) is when you stand still, woggle/stomp your leg and do the same with a arm. This is perfect for a dancefloor filled with people on a trip. Because no one is disturbing anyones trip. They are all placed in lines stomping hard to good music while flying in their head. Now I've only seen this in scandinavia, but I bet stompers exist everywhere. Are you a stomper?
So who's your fav. stomper artist? .. Mine is Shiva Shidapu

Haha, I guess I could be called a stomper. Sometimes I might dance in another way or juggle while dancing if there's enough space, but usually I just simply stomp. |

i will skip-hop-romp-chomp-stomp over anything that comes my way especially if the dj plays some derango / quasar / electrypnose /gow / x-noize / wizzy noize / para noize / noize noize noize

I can never understand how can ppl stand still in parties. I am far from being a stomper. Only stomping to chill/ambient music is good. To progressive my legs are always on the ground and only my upper body moves. To full on I jump most of the time like a frog. I can't stay on the ground with full on. Good artist like Black and white, with their sound, its impossible to stay on the ground, energy is coming inside and Trance -forms to dance.
Progressive is more comer, more deeper experience. Less energy, but more spirituality not to far from chill and ambient.
Stomping to shpongle is gr8 or shulman. But to prog and full on it is not fun.

my friend stomping does not mean standing in one place while your mind flies to the music .. infact its exactly the opposite .. but while stomping one is likely to remain in the area in which he is at it without fucking up anyone else trip .. dancing while stamping heavily on the ground is stomping .. so i dont see how you would stomp to shulman or shpongle

mhm.. (thanks to Exotic for clearifying it) And I'm gonna stomp this weekend. Not only because I like to stomp. But because my knee is out of order, and stomping is a nice solution.

Ok. I got the point. and still stomping is not my way of dancing. That does not mean that I enter in someone's space, just dancing as I described on the first post on one place and not everywhere like some broken robot.

hehe... funny thing happend this Saturday at a secret basement party. It may be that I'm putting to much "preassure" on this. But at this party, every one was dancing "normal". I came out to dance one time to a very good track. I stomped, and when I left, 90% of the other dancers where doing as I did. Stomp. .. yeye. It was a funny observation from my point of view.
