i m selling my 5 liscence...update is too expensive for me as i dont use it much ,use logic 95% of the time.
more intrested into bitwig for jaming and write ideas fast.. or live 9 if they fix some annoying bugs and don t add too much new ones |

So I made the plunge today and so far its awesome! Havent had too much time to play around but so far the update is well worth the $150. Mixer is gonna take a bit to get used to but its actually really handy. Wasnt a big fan of the mixer before the update but I see now its gonna be a huge addition. Really needs a big second monitor to appreciate it tho. Favories so far are A/B comparison for all vst's finally, freq analyzer on the eq and its way more efficient on mac now. Runs way smoother than 6. Havent had a chance to check the chord track but it could be pretty cool. Will update as I use more |

I updated last night, and I`m impressed! This is what I call a real update. Obviously I cant tell much yet, but the chord track and chord suggestion are worth the update money alone. It makes it really easy to experiment and create a harmonic structure for tracks. And the mixing console is a definite improvement in terms of workflow, it takes some getting used to, but it is much, much better.
The only thing that sucks is that everything is designed around the Cubase EQ. If I could just replace that with my Fabfilter or any other third party live would be perfect (you can obviously still use those as an insert, but they have integrated the Cubase EQ into the mixing board with really cool accessibility features, and those dont work for inserts).

Found some listings on Ebay for the Cubase 7 with the educational discount, seems to be the cheapest price as opposed to distributors here who have marked it up to double of the price in shops in the states.
Any advice on ordering a educational licensed DAW from Ebay?
