Firstly we would like to offer our sincere apologies to all those whose weekend turned into a bit of a nightmare when our event didn’t take place according to plan.

The site we chose had the landowners written permission and the local authorities were very accommodating and supportive, offering advice on our health and safety and risk assessment. Many crew worked long hours to put up all the marquees, stages, tipis and made the site look beautiful with décor that had been created especially for this party. However our intentions to put many smiles on many faces and put on a spectacular event sadly fell short when the authorities changed their minds last minute and decided to prevent our gathering taking place, presenting us with a Section 63 under the criminal Justice Act about 5pm on Friday.

From this point on we deeply regret the lack of communication from ourselves, we were extremely overwhelmed with phone calls whilst trying to pack down a whole festival and move to an alternative site which was also to fall through. We had vans and trucks full of the makings of a great party and many of the artists still happy to play at a moments notice so we were still determined that somehow it would go ahead but when our third site also fell through, the painful decision was made to cancel.

We are extremely sorry to everyone involved from the partygoers to crew, artists and helpers. We can assure you that our immediate focus is in recovering the situation as soon as possible.
We are now formulating a strategy in order to refund any ticket holders that would like their money back and we ask for your patience and understanding while we sort out the mechanics of putting this into place..

We fully accept and understand the anger and frustration felt by many of you and all feedback is much appreciated. We are sorry for not responding sooner, we have only just been able to check the internet after much stress and confusion.

We are feeling quite broken by all of this. Much time, love and energy went into putting this event together, we are all saddened and exhausted by the outcome.

We have been overwhelmed by the kind messages of support and understanding from the many disappointed liquid followers who travelled so many miles looking for the gathering and we thank you for your loyalty, words cannot do justice on how sad we feel having let you all down.

Thank you to all of the people involved, so many to mention individually for their hard work and commitment over the last months and weeks leading up to this weekend.

Please bare with us over the next few days, we will continue updating you.

Peace

Liquid Connective

To Liquid Connective ::
i would like to say that i am feeling very frastrated by what had happened over the last weekend, but in no way would i hold any ill feelings towards the liquid crew for attempting to do what most people could only dream off, you will always have my support and best wishes, Keep the faith

To Wizzy ::
Dont you think you have done quite enough damage by now. I, like yourself have spent the last week preparing for the liquid event, but i can not understand why you keep posting all this negativity in every forum with these topics, CONSIDERING THAT ALL YOUR FEEDBACK IS BASED ON YOUR ASSUMPTIONS AND LACK OF INFORMATION, it only makes me think there must be a little more to this than you are letting on. We all feel frustrated by the weekends events, but posting the same messages in every forum is just too much man, you are really on a mission to do as much damage to the liquid crew, arnt you, I think you should let it lay now, they have suffered enough, and not that i feel they needed too, I for one know that they meant no harm and had done exactly what was required from them in order to have a legal psy trance festival, but the reality is that they got done in by the under handed working way of the Police force in this area, same as trib of Frog earier this year, it was not there intension to mess you and the rest off us around this weekend, it's just the way it happened, so come on now, show some sort of understand and compassion, I think we have had quite enough, dont you?

PS: How many awsome FREE parties have we had from the liquid crew over the last few years... don't they count for anything?

Shane, i think people deserve the truth, and not a gagging order from liquid-connective dj's like yourself.

This message is not aimed at everyone. It is however, particularly aimed at certain Liquid Dis-organisers. You should say thankyou after borrowing a persons mobile, particularly if you drain all their remaining credit, and you should not ignore them, and pretend you cant hear them, when they then ask you for an update. I will refrain from using the four letter words that spring to mind but I would ask all of you to consider whether this is really the attitude we would like from our party organisers and whether we really do want to have that total lack of love and respect pervading the core of the party.

anyway

Having spent the whole of the week prior to the event loosing blood, sweat and tears fixing up some bass cabs and all of Thursday preparing , travelling and then the whole of Friday moving rig equipment round in circles, I feel I have a right to say a few things about what should have happenned.

Having done many parties in my time, the first most important thing is to secure the site with ALL local inhabitants. The bigger the party, the more important this is.

Organisation is also key. We arrived friday at 5 am, and could not find anyone who had a clue, so we went to bed, being told it would all get sorted out in the morning. We continued the search for someone with a plan all friday morning but it appeared people were still asleep or completely fucked.

Rule Number One: dont loose your brain before the party is sorted.

when we did find people they were chatting to the police, and we were told to "Just find a nice spot for your rig and set up". It wasnt till later, when we had already set up most of the rig, that we were told, firstly, that we couldnt set up there cos of fire risks, then, later, because someone else wanted to set up there, then thirdly (even later)we were told that there actually had been a plan, but this had got disregarded. Who the hell was responsible for this mess?

We were ready with our rig and could have pumped out fat tunes from 7pm onwards. Why on this dance-forsaken earth did the main rigs have so little competence / abilities / clear headedness / enthusiasm / drive / momentum to get things moving, such as we had done? Why was such a large scale, expensive party (for ALL those involved) allowed to be handled with the highest degree of muppetry, arrogance, irresponsibility and indifference?

We all had a part to play, and there is a certain significant fraction who did not get off their drug addled arses to sort it. These people know who they are.

Why the hell did no-one take charge of any of the meetings so things actually got discussed properly? There should have been back up plans already in place anyway, but at least an actual proper discussion might have helped. The last attempt, where everone joined hands to try and connect with 'The Spirit of The Dance' had me in fits of laughter and hysteria. As with all Energies and matters that involve Spirit of Any Kind, if you do not have the Skills and Knowledge, the Power is Useless.

The force was not with you, as you did not know how to make use of it. All those of us that have done parties should be able to remember, that a good location is not just a nice location, or a large enough location, or one not too far away, and NOT one that is the most voted for by a load of people who have lost the plot so bad they think a random vote from shouted out suggestions without real discussion or any examination of relevant facts would be able to lead the large number of people, vehicles and equipment in the best possible fashion to a next location for a SUCCESSFUL party. The few ideas that could have actually worked were lost under a tirade of madness and confusion.

You neednt worry yourselves whether I am a suitable person for your parties. I feel i clearly am not, and will enjoy future parties of a smaller but more successful nature, and all with virtually no expense and far less hassle.

CAN I ALSO POINT OUT THAT TRYING TO SET UP A BIG PARTY ON A PROTECTED BIRD RESERVE IS ALSO A VERY BAD THING TO DO. IT IS NOT AT ALL COMPATABLE WITH YOUR IDEALS OF A SUSTAINABLE WORLD WHICH YOU CLEARLY JUST LIKE THE SOUND OF BECAUSE YOU CAN USE BIG WORDS WITH AIRY FAIRY NONSENSE AND MAKE IT SOUND LIKE YOU ACTUALLY MIGHT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT-WHICH YOU CLEARLY DO NOT. I AM GLAD THE POLICE STOPPED YOU AND I HOPE NOT TOO MUCH OF THE PROTECTED BIRD RESERVE WAS DESTROYED OR DAMAGED OR DISTURBED. IT WAS CLEARLY MARKED ON OUR MAPS AND EVEN THOUGH YOU MOVED TO THE NEXT FIELD AFTER BEING ACCOSTED BY THE SITE MANAGERS IT WOULD STILL BEEN A MOMONTOUSLY STUPID IDEA (BECAUSE THERE WOULD STILL HAVE BEEN VERY DISTURBED AND ANY BIRDS WITHIN MILES WOULD HAVE BEEN SCARED SHITLESS). JUST AS STUPID AS THE IDEA OF SETTING UP IN THAT BEAUTY SPOT ON DARTMOOR.

Now that I think of it, the fact that you guys have not even got a site secured in terms of the environment and environmental awareness and protection, as well as not sorting the social and political factors is profoundly disturbing, and completely contradicts the things tou say you stand for, such as love, peace and respect for this earth and all its biological inhabitants.

Please think about my sentiments. I apologise for ranting but I assure you I am not an aggressive or angry individual, I am merely a dissapointed person who feels that their time has been wasted. I had a good time anyway, but I would have had a better time doing almost anything else. I am not just focusing on the negative, either. This is partly so I dont actually have to vocally rant at anyone, a kind of therapy. I actually got quite a lot of joke this weekkend. It is just a pity it was mostly ironic or at the situational farce we found ourselves in.

After a few frustrating and difficult days of trying to work out the total loss and financial position of Liquid Connective, we have brain stormed many recovery ideas and solutions coming up with the following few. We do not offer these as the only options but as a reality of what we can do. We do welcome all comment and suggestions from all involved, whatever they may be. Regarding the ticket refund, please call the number on the ticket face or email us info@liquidconnective.org where we will deal with everything directly.

For all who purchased/donated for the ticket, please contact the outlet and the following arrangements can be made:

Option 1 - if you require a refund for the ticket we can £15 back and free entry to the next Liquid Connective event/or future event. For this you must return the ticket to the outlet, keep the smaller ticket stub and theticket outlet will retain the larger part. we will also need your: 1 - name/username 2 - email address 3 - contact number or address. we do accept and understand that this will not meet the expectations of everyone and we ask you to contact us by phone (number on ticket face) or by email info@liquidconnective.org where we will deal with all enquires and requests directly.

Option 2 - if you wish to support us through these difficult times and keep your ticket, we are very soon to develope a new membership system in which we can exhcnage your ticket for at a future date. this will include free entry into the next Liquid Connective event/or future event, as well as discount tickets and entry into many of the other events we will be involved in, an new txt message and snail-mail mailing system with exclusive free music from our record label, and with access to a new liquid-forum in which we will put forward all our ideas and listen to all of your ideas broading our community and bringing it closer together.

We welcome all your thoughts and ideas, and wish to hear your feedback on that we purpose. Representative from Liquid Connective will be at Access All Areas, Psy Dmt and Illegal Records today should you wish to talk to us in person.

Again we offer our sincere apologies for last weekend.

Much Love

Liquid Connective

R-2, if you charge people £30 for an advance ticket people expect a full-refund if it gets cancelled. Making people feel guilty and making it as hard as possible for those people to get their money back shows no ethics. This festival was a gamble for Liquid connective , and as such you don't risk what you cant afford to lose!

Liquid Connective seems like a serious organisation to me and their decision in trying to refund some money to the ticket holders and make up all the mess by providing various things and special offers to them shows how honest these people are.

Yes for sure some people will get frustrated for loosing their time and money by the cancelation of this festival BUT keep in mind that organising a party is not an easy task and many hidden risks await for the organisers.

Be patient and good results shall come.

At least people in England dont dissappear after a party cancelation in contrast with some 'nice' people here in Greece and in other countries who get the money from the advance sold tickets and dissapear from the face of the earth.

Keep up the good work Liquid Connective.           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!
