cd 2.. did Dino Psaras, Joti Sidhu & Steve Ronan hook up and formed Ayahuasca again to make ambient or what ? <- yeah, i know.. stupid question.

I actually find this piece rather interesting, since I really went mad by TIP's continuation of the colors-series. This one contains tracks who are worthy the name of 'Spaceships of the Imagination', since the first release was really splendid. I do own almost all of the tracks present on the release already though, but it seems more labels (including TIP for once?) are going back to the roots sort of. There's some really old superb tunes on this one (X-Dream's 'Relax Vortex' is amazing), and it's nice for those who hasn't got a chance to buy releases such as 'Infinite Excursions', to get an original copy of splendid music.
Here's what TIP has to say about the release:
Spaceships of the Imagination 2 is the second in the series.
Concepted and compiled by Raja Ram, it is a chance to put together some of the best ambient moments of the past with some of the groovier, morning music that compliments them.
It is a collection of our own tunes (some of which have long been deleted) that we wish were on an album together.
Now they are, hope you enjoy. It is the album that Raja Ram wanted in his CD wallet when he went on his travels.
There is an extra cd in the package. It is by The Templo Mae D'Agua. It is music from the Ayahuasca ceremonies in Brazil. Acoustic and simple but beautiful and previously unheard outside those that have taken part. |

i don't think Dino, Joti & Steve decided to recollaborate
"the land of ayahuasca" means South American regions here, rainforests of Amazonia
just checked out their website, here's an extract:

The tracklist of disc 1 may be very familiar and 'old' to some of you - I for one know these tunes like the back of my hand(!) but let's not slate TIP World too much...
There are plenty of people out there who don't own these tracks and are not maybe so familiar Tip's older sounds, these make for some very nice psychedelic journeys.. 'Relax Vortex', '2 Brains', 'Herb Garden' etc.. are all beautiful tunes. Makes a nice change from the everyday full-on

CD1 = one third of "v/a Twelve" and some golden tunes that have been released on a thousand different compilations already. CD2 = utter crap. You have to be on aya huesca or whatever to enjoy that shit. IMO. Just when you thought that it isn't possible, TIP World sunk even deeper. Raja Ram must be busy collecting money for the retiriment days. I used to regard him so high.. man this is so freaking sad..

I was contemplating gettin the collection because i thought it would be interesting to hear this ayahuasca stuff.

I listened to the samples on Saikosounds and there is no way I'd get this... and yes 4 minute samples ar elong enough to tell... I was hoping for something deep and tribal or really trippy but it just sounds like the soundtrack to a Discovery channel show... |
