Well right from the time I started listening to psy trance I have noticed the amount of artists having the word space in their name and I slowly began liking one by one….well the one I still like the most among the so called “space” artists I would say is space tribe ..and I have heard quite a lot of space Buddha’s tracks in the past and to be honest I never was let down by the tracks I had heard so when I saw this album appear first on psyshops coming soon list I just had to expect a delightful morning oriented power punched album…and through the journey lets see If I was let down or not….

Here is the link of the cover which I reckon is a really really cool cover for an album I love the art work on this..thats for sure….

Here is the link
http://212.227.206.198/cgi-bin/zoom.cgi?age1cd048_b.jpg:CDs/age/age1cd048.html:;

ok and here I start the review…

1) Full Circle

Quite a simple start for the album with the features of a few melodious sounds and chimes…sounds like this track should have the morning essence I had been expecting….quite a varied mixtures of sounds and a tweek which I particularly dint like too much to get things going…and at about the middle of the first minute the track is still on its way to evening out…then finally by the 1:40 mark the track finally takes shape going on with bumps and tweeks along the way..with absurd breaks only to come out sounding ditrorted but hey its jus getting better u feel…then the u finally get used to the constant beat and the track eases on to you…somehow it’s the middle of the 3rd minute and I still don’t think I have settled into the track….suprising isn’t it…but then I am enjoying some part of it not sure what it is….can sense a sort of build up occurring towards the middle of the 4th minute and breaks and voila am finally enjoying the track…am sure those breaks will irritate u on the short run but hey will work like a charm on the floor that’s for sure…and there are 3 whole mintues left of the track and I really want to be surprised theres a nice mellow piano roll which sooths down the tempo for a but and bam back with the bass…liking the tune a lot here…at about the 6th minute…nice buildup gettin heavier and then back to the flow….kinda like this one …will work quite well on the floor with the breaks that’s for sure….(7.5/10)

2) Pure Energy

By the name itself I sort of assume this will a an ass crunching number hehe …again the starts are really surreal…not a great start to the track but then it sorta settles in much quicker than the frist one…then energyyyy I love that layer which is soooo good in the morning it was used by a lot of artists used over and over again in mekkanika – two weeks ago in mexico if u have heard it am sure u know what I am talking about coz u will sense it almost immediately…at the middle of the 3rd minute nice sounds all jammed into one bit its hard to explain but u can sense a burst and it happens much before u can realize it…and its back with the tune and flow u will keep stomping ur feet on this one all along I am right now then I sense another build up man I hope this guy doesn’t repeat the build ups in all the tracks sometimes when buildups are over used they may sound very repetitive especially in an album…but not yet its still soothing in but hey I can sense something coming my way…nice slow down at middle of the 5th minute and a great tune…somehow u can sense morning glory hehe and the track gets power packed at the middle of the 6th minute and its gets more enjoyable there are nice layers flowing in and out quite well made I reckon and the last 30 seconds bring down the energy and it just crashes down..quite a decent track (7.5/10)

3) Land Of The Wolves

Ok this track has a very fluty start but am not sure am a fan of what’s going on with the tune….really think the first minute could have been made better hey that’s just my opinion…this track has a sort of playful feel to it right from the start but I really am not sensing the plot here…middle of the 2nd minute I still feel it’s a mediocre track…there are more playful twists and turns which can be used to bring about some smiling faces on the floor on a hard hitting morning..then things get more shapely at least I assume they r taking shape and finally get a lil serious out here ..but still I somehow found this sort of repetitive with tweeks here and there to add more punch into it…and there is a big break at the middle of the 4th minute and back with the playful tune..ok now I am really loathing the tune …..still unable to figure out the plot of the track not sounding all that exciting to me till now but hey there are 2 more minutes left maybe something will come to avail… than a buildup which I sort of like surprisingly…and just becomes mediocre again…well to be honest I really dint get into the flow of this particular track and it sorta has derailed me from the the first 2 tracks…(6/10)

4) Blow Your Heart Up

Well the name of the track reckons that this should be a stomper with some good trademark buildups…the start is quite mixed and varied with different sounds and beats and the flow of the track comes about rather quick in this track and I like the way its going and suddenly am off track with the breaks…not sure yet wheather I fancy them or not…home listening not soo much I guess but on the floor hell yeah…ok short time out from the flow of events and slowly gearing up to up the tempo blow your heart up says the man..hehe…5 more minutes left and I can sense I shall be stomping through most of the remaining minutes…well sort of disappointing as the sounds are getting repetitive but some more layers are hopefully being added you can sway to this and probably you sense something is lacking over here…well the last minute and a half compensates with a nice build up and nice overlaid track….overall pretty ok I would have to say it had its nice moments… (7/10)

5) White Widow

Quite an interesting start with a vocal sample which I reckon is well put hopefull this should be packed nice and well really dig the sounds all through the first minute and a half…then the track gets into shape and continues its journey and we follow and the track is getting a good feel to it atleast I am getting a good feel nice break into it at and its got the punch that I was waiting for the track is quite nicely full on …am enjoying it..this is more like it…and a deserved break with some nice tunes with some build up forming..this is getting exciting…ok the last minute and half is jam packed with build up and crash and bams and some nice full on music…hell yeah this is what I was expecting…good flow really like this one..dig it quite a bit…give it a listen for sure…(8.5/10)

6) Can You Hear It

Again this track too starts of with a vocal sample and then into gear quick and some nice tunes coming my way and somehow I am already put into high gear by the previous track that I can sense the continuity in this one I like it when that happens and this is somehow a nicely formulated piece of sound…I can hear the background and am quite sure it will take over in the minutes to come I can just sense it….this is getting heavier and more worked on layers are coming forward and this has been tweeked to destroy and there is a subtle but wherethe tempo is slowed down and gradually played around with that pace and it is quite enjoyable..and the build up is niice…haha crazy dance floor bomb for sure this is a power packed explosive which can be used really well on the floor…but need some track of the same sort to follow up the flow so u gotta be careful….(8/10)

7) Mental Hotline

hello and welcome to the mental helpline if u are obsessive compulsive press one repeatedly if you are co dependent ask someone to press 2 for you if you have multiple personalites press 3,4,5,6 if you are paranoid, we know what you are and what you want stay on the line and we will trace your call if your delusional press 7 and your call will be transferred to the mother ship if your schizophrenic listen carefully my voice will tell you which number to press and it doesn’t matter which number you press no will assist you if you are dyslexic press 69696969 if you have a nervous disorder please fidgit with the hash key after the beep please wait of the beep if yu have short term memory loss please try your call again later no self esteem hang up caller upgrade

I hope I got all the word right man I dunno why I really like this vocal sample I laughed for a long time when I heard this for the first time….its quite a cool sample especially the voice in the sample is really chilled out haha…its quite good to listen to….well after the track starts on with a nice sounding tune very familiar but I am unable to trace it roots…and then bam its getting faster and more powerful and the vocal sample plays for a couple of seconds…this track has got something in it is what you can fell through the first couple of minutes…and the tune is going on with some good energy to back it up and some nicely layed out layers come into play..and break beat for a while and the vocal sample comes back again..about 4 and a half minutes of the track are up and I dint realize it till about now..the track has a good feel to it by the 5th minute and by now this album is falling into place and definitely will be a good morning blaster for sure…I dunno how playable this track can be coz quite a lot of the first couple of minutes is vocals and tune but rest of it is quite packed into a small protion..quite a listenable track…(7/10)

8) Nirvana

Well to be honest I was expecting this to be a chill out track the first time I heard the samples online but It is not…but I really dig the tune in the beginning of the track is sort of shows you that the power punch of the album is coming to an end …and this is the last go and some energy in the album all squeezed out so I am hoping for this one to be power packed track all trough…and this track gets into its business…with quite glorious melodies appearing on the way..i dunno why I can feel some sort of finishing feel in this track really hard to explain even tho it may sound just normal there is some emotion in this track which I found very evident and I really like that probably its named nirvana quite an apt name that way don’t you think..there is something enjoyable about this track ..and I am unable to pinpoint It out…and at the 5th minute one more build up this one is taking quite a big force …and has a bouncy feel to it and it’s all good..i kind of like the shapes this track is taken its got its playful side its got its bouncy side and also some punch and power this is more or less like a good packaged track and also the tempo crash and the same lovely tune seems to be coming back I enjoyed this tune a lot…I feel this has a lot of emotion in it its just my opinion I reckon if anyone else feels the same please do let me know hehe…:D and one last buildup of the album….and it lives up to the expectation I like this track .quite danceable powerful on the floor….(8.5/10)

9) Walking On Water

Lot of artists are dabbling into something more downbeat in their albums and it’s a nice thing to do I reckon coz some of them make some nice tracks out of it…this track has got some atmosphere in it and I enjoyed listening to it…its quite good after 8 power punched tracks so it’s a welcome addition into the cd I suppose....

Well now for the verdict I would say if you want to buy this for home listening don’t think you will appreciate it too much but to listen to in the car or on the bus ride train ride its quite a good buy that’s for sure…coz I have heard it on the go and I really liked it and just plain at home dint suit my need too much and if you are dj and looking for some bombs to throw in the morning some of the tracks will explode the floor so u better keep this in you case for those high power mornings when the crowd is very spirited and wants to release some energy after a long night of some mind altering twisted psychedelia then this is the cd to have coz most of the tracks are dance floor oriented with the breaks which I am sure will kill the floor..
Overall I would give this album 7.5

Didn't like at all.

Too many sounds that shouldn't be there.
Too many breaks that shouldn't be there.

But then, I think it's not my kind of sound.
Well produced.

Overall I would give this album 5

Great review, I completely second it.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

well to be honest i mentioned that this is not ideal for home listening..it honestly isnt any good for home listening...but to use on the floor some r really explosive bombs the breaks when u listen at home are annoying but at a party sometime they act like a charm think of the other side

but hey some parts even the breaks annoyed me and so did the sounds but i thought mostly of the outdoor experience           Why Worry?? BE.........HIPPIE

I don't go to parties, so it matters not to me whether an album is good for party listenings. I really don't care. I care about good music, and that's not the case here, just the same boring standard stuff repeated all over again. Space Buddha had some good times, but they're apparently over now.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. Ok, got to respect your opinion.

About this stuff of "home listening" or "Party sound", I don´t know bout you guys, but when I go to a party I preety much like listening to the same kind of sound I listen at home.

Little bit louder, sure.
Little bit drunk, sure.

In fact, that´s what drives me when picking line-ups, partys and cds.

The ridiculous amount of breaks kills this. Where did the time go when people still understood what good psychedelic was? One of the few artists that still make great psy is Psykovsky IMO. There are some more, but times like the Pigs in Space album will probably never come back. To me psychedelic TRANCE has to do just that. Create a trance with wild sounds, a big bassline and rhythm. And when a peak is reached it has to go on for some time to reach that trance state. Not like this, where you have a break at each half minute. It sucks! It's like listening to hardstyle or hardcore. This is not psychedelic trance.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

i dont think there is a difference in "home listening" or "party listening" yes maybe wat u like to listen at home is different from wat u want to hear at a party but good sounds have to sound good anywhere..
gud music sounds good anytime, anywhere, anyplace, in any situation..
newayz coming back to the review of the album
well i was a big fan of space buddha before but their new album i dont fancy so much.. their style has changed a lot but not so much to my liking ..too many breaks as someone mentioned earlier, unwanted sounds, cheesy melodies..dint like any of the tracks
