Salutations radiant beings of light, I've got trance in my pants!

I, as well, am looking for a ride, I am in the bay area (Oakland) and I have a drivers' license and a contribution of energy to the fossil fuel fund. Please admit one Transdimensional Mutant and small intergalactic multi-climate hibernation container and nominal amount of gear (Tent+Bag).

Unfortunately, the 4 inch of rain that fell will do absolutely nothing to prevent fires - it will evaporate faster than we can say "oops!".
As for all the additional "preparation", excuse me for being a little pessimistic, but if there is a fire, neither the water, nor the little fire extinguishers will do a thing to contain the fire. Does the organizer have a way to get the water from the 300 gallon tank to the fire area - some buckets and a fire hose, perhaps? How about shovels and I don't just mean the one rusty shovel which can be found on the property, but several, in very close proximity, which are a must in a situation like this?

Basically, this explanation is just a bunch of BS aimed to pacify but not really address the concern.

What baffles me is the insistence on this fire, even with the community speaking out against it. What is more important - the community that supports you or ... ?

Another question: is it possible that a smoke stack coming from the forest during fire watch period will alert the authorities?

Initially, I just thought that if our community spoke up, no organizer will be so stubborn and we will get to enjoy a safe party without a fire, but turns out it's not as easy.

I guess this is everyone's personal choice at this point: just remember - there is no evacuation plan, so bring a 4x4 so you can haul ass in the forest, in case you need to make a speedy escape.

Safe journeys!

this was an amazing trance party.
Derango's music represents pure joy.
to all those who missed out because there was a fire, i feel very little sympathy for you, we had probably the best, biggest XLR8R i've ever seen, and the zero wind level at night made it perfectly safe.

big thanks to Mindfull for throwing this event, it was IMO the perfect trance party. thank you Derango for coming and playing, the sheer intelligence of your music makes other trance look like a joke. other incredible sets were delivered by Ghreg on Earth (as usual) and Loke from Norway-- who played a perfect scando morning set to help us digest Derango more easily . and super special thanks to the location and the owners, this is probably the best spot i've seen for a trance party.

wow. not gonna forget this one, ever! thanks again Mindfull/Catalyx/Jack/et. al. this was the epitome of psychedelia.
