Hello trippers

When you trip, is it only at parties, or do you enjoy the comfort of tripping in your own home alone or with close friends? (Don't answer, or else this topic will get deleted and locked).

When trippin', which CD's, tracks do you listen to? Is there the typical album that you pull out of your shelf, or ?

For me.. I Love to listen to my music while under the influence, for me it's like a investigation, a search. I got around 360 albums, but I have unfortunally not realy listened to most of the 'psy' ones. For me it for sure does depend on what substance (mush or acid). Somehow, I always find my self rocking to old Infected Mushroom tracks, Yamabikaya, Shiva Shidapu, the random goa trance track/compilation, Psykovsky! Hallucinogen (simon works)..

But all in all, IM - Classical Mushroom is a repeating piece of art that I'm pulling out (my most tripped to album)

. Lol, I always have these plans of 'Oh tonight I will pull out old rare ones and take a dive, explore new terretories'. But again, after a few spins of rare ones I either hit a jackpot that I will enjoy over and iver again.. Or I change to my favourites. - I think it's important to explore, not to get stuck on the few like I do sometimes. Last time I tripped, I was cleaver enough to get out a bunch of albums I wanted to mix my way through. Ended with finding a Goa album I realized I loved, and it went on repeat through out most of the night lol silly.

What music do you trip to? Sorry for the retard thread, delete at will.

At those times I listen to Etnica stuff a lot. Especially the Trip Tonite track. I can repeat it endlessly.

Kox Box - Dragon Tales and The Great Unknown

Juno Reactor - Bible of Dreams

Psysex - Hardcore Blastoff

Cosma - Non Stop

This stuff is most commonly found in those special times. Other music changes depending on the mood, but I always finish with 2 of these 3 albums:

Reefer Decree - Sound Frames
Andromeda - Temptations

and

Cell - Phonic Peace

Chill-Out, Nature all good and important. I guess most people play chill on home trips?! I rarly go to parties and have never been to a pure big psychedlic festival, so I got a love for playing my own sets and journeys, finishing up with chill-out and J's. I love psychedelic trance music, and to be able to investigate these albums while being psyhigh is a great pleasure and honour.

Btw. Perfect answer SSA & Bender, that was the type of answers I was curiously searching for.
SSA, I got a couple of friends (Hi Arash) that as you prefer Ultimae Rec's when on the trips.

I've yet to experience Dragon Tale's This must be experienced I think.

Recently Boards Of Canada & Future Sound of London became essential parts of my play list while trippin.
Maybe some of the strongest acid music out there.

depends on the whole setting

are you alone? with people? in the woods? at home?

every trip setting is different

I go with the sound of nature as the best proposal so far. City folk won't understand that.

If I was pressed into making a list of some trippy music to listen to (although I think music on trips is a poor second to the sound of nature) it would be:

Hawkwind
Gong
Pink Floyd
Dukes of the Stratosphear (XTC)

then, when norty mode kicks in:

Full on

then, after playing everything in your CD wallet decide that full-on wasn't such a good idea after all

Jimi Hendrix
The Doors
more Pink Floyd

Derango , wizack twizack , procs , ghreg on earth , furious , psykovsky , alien mental , mds , protoculture , silicon sound , audiolize , vibrasphere , cosmosis , scorb , sensifeel , solar fields , nissimyani , AXl , phatmatix , phyx , abomination have been responsible for some crazy times that i have had in the past . i always look forward to new material by any of these artists for tripping purposes. and im always on the lookout for new artists that are reinventing the old sound to bring something new to the listener.
