Seb & Marcus: Some wonderful things you have done...
* You run a record label releasing top-quality music only
* You have introduced delicious DJ Nukem from the house circles to psychedelic audience
* You have brought fresh winds to the house scene also in the form of Minilogue... I have enjoyed everything I've heard... too bad the tracks are not available on CD!
* Marcus: You have put together a perfect mix-compilation, Digital DJ... I play it to everyone and they all love it!
* Seb: You sure know how to Ooze... creating music that makes my thoughts melt into beautiful visions
* You made a remix for Morphem's Ambrosia and lifted it's sheer happiness into new levels. I recently met a very beautiful girl who's an actress... I sampled some impressive words from her interview (in Swedish) and included them to this track with mindblowing results (at least to myself, because I love the girl too)
* Filur remixing Curved Air... how happy can u get?!
* and... YOU are Son Kite !!!
If I'm in a mood for party, the magical rhythms and the warmth of your music makes me dance with enthusiastic joy, smiling and wondering how my body can move so fast and yet in a so beautiful and harmonic way.
If I'm in a mood for chilling, the depth of your groove pulls me deep towards Mother Earth and the beauty in your songs makes this journey very ecstatic.
Great things you have done ... and more great things seem to be coming from you ... to make this world more beautiful place to be.
Keep uniting people with your magic...
Let the love be your energy! |

Digital DJ is for sure a great mix cd with killer tunes like ambrosia rmx and shaiva from dj nukem and chab (also known from the prog house scene). Son Kite made the best progressive psy trance track for 2002 imo: Massive

Seb>>I really like your music but...your fingers is way too long when you are mastering. As a hifi enthusiast with a big$$$ stereo your music sounds flat, compressed and boring, even with normal equipment you hear that. Your music might sound good on really crappy PA system normaly found at swedish ug parties. But at VOOV 2002, with very revealing soundsystem, your set sounded terrible.
Don't let the low swedish standards kill your music.

Dear Vit!
Very interesting what you're saying. I don't know you and I don't know your preferences but since both me and Marcus (mostly Marcus) are hifi enthusiasts we're putting very much time into the production.
If you don't like our sound it's maybe a matter of taste because you can't imagine how many people that are telling us what an amazing production/mastering we have on the music that we produce and this is people from all different genres (techno, trance, house, pop, chill, dub, rock mm). As you probably know we're doing very much mastering work for other labels and artists and some of the music that we're doing the mastering for sounds very bad from the beginning and then it's very hard to make it sound good!
With Voov you're actually right ... we had really bad luck with the sound. The Dj signal and our live signal went out on different channels on the main mixer and the sound guy was totally not doing his work since our signal was both much lower and much more compressed compared to the dj signal. Things like this happens and I don't think you should judge us to hard on this one.
The last thing you're saying I do not understand ... "Don't let the low swedish standards kill your music."???????
  Smile! |

Imo son kite make high quality tracks (as all the artist who release tracks on digital structures). Vit, I think that swedish standards are really high and not low as you say...

I have no idea what planet this guy Vic is on, because here on earth, we use our EARS. Sebastian and Marcus are respected all over the industry as brilliant producers and engineers. The simple fact that they're MASTERING a buttload of albums says a lot, because mastering really well is very impressive.
As for the next album, I can't wait. And I hope they release a Minilogue album as well, because it's the best progressive music EVER. They were here in California for the Gratitude Festival, and they played right after sunrise. I literally cried at one point, their music was so beautiful and danceable. My face was grinning madly the whole time, and I was stone cold sober because I had to DJ (i'm part of the sober-dj-krewe ) I could gush on and on, but the fact of the matter was, for that moment, for that instance in time, nothing sounded better than Son Kite as the sun climbed over our heads. Fuck yeah.

p.s. Cheers Seb and Marcus. I'll never forget that set, or the fact that I played right before you. (It's Little Brian from Thump Radio) I was glad I could bridge the gap between Neuromotor and you guys. Oh, and I have a great picture of you, Seb, and would like to email it to you if you want. |

Would like to agree and disagree about the mastering issue...
It might be a bit too loud compared to other releases mastered elsewhere which kind of might add just a pinch of distortion to some tracks.. cant put any in my mind right now but im pretty sure...
anyways seb and marcus keep the good work up...
