A PSYparty or a psytrance/Full-On party? The first one is like going to a trip to another dimesion of colors and bliss.
The second is like going to a candy-rave party.

no not really it isnt like a concert at all .. concerts are rowdy (wich has its own charm) .. psy parties are for the most part quiet peacefull gatherings in forests where people are tripping on lsd and such and doin there own thing .. but yeah , backin the 60`s .. iv seen some footage of small greatful dead , floyd and hendrix small gigs wich were almost exactly like todays psy gatherings .. people on acid , hippies and weed everywhere , even dancing very very similar to what we see in out parties today & probably better ... sigh .. a bygone era i wasnt ever distined to be in ..

i've seen a big difference in my experience.
going to a club to see infected mushroom w/ 500ppl packed indoors falling over eachother at the bar, then the other, 200ppl outdoor, in the forest, simply magical.
the first is much more like a concert.
here in the states, generally, outdoor events are smaller and the dj/live act booth is much closer to the crowd. not really at the bigger indoor events so one usually seems more like a show rather than a gathering.

Yup, but only if you make an effort to actually 'perform', ie. dress differently, paint your face/hair, contribute something unique to the party (maybe work out some kind of act for the dancefloor with your friends) or involve other people in your party who you don't know.
Don't just dance in rows staring at the stage/DJ.
