fyi, thats actually one of the main reasons why club owners laugh in the face of promoters/organizers when they hear their pitch for a psytrance night. imagine being a club owner... you wanna operate from 11-8am and not use my bar??? makes no sense business wise. and dont give me that 3$ theyll buy bs.... been there done that, they dont. psytrancers usually wont be heavy on the bar like other events the clubs are used to... we come "prepared" from home or go to our "own" dancefloor bartenders... think about it...

Hmm....a monthly membership with a card sounds interesting, although not exactly sure how it would work. Who would collect all the funds and to which organizers it would apply?... These are just a few questions, I have plenty more to ask, but overall I would be very open to this idea. If somebody can come up with interesting strategies, I thinks a bunch of people can subscribe to it, including myself.

As far as other points regarding free water, places, and "dj request hour".....we shouldn't even talk about it:

1) Free water - it's never going to happen, just deal with it. It stopped bothering me a long time a go so it should not be a big deal.

2) Request hour - common, what are we in 1980's? We're not going to Studio 54 or some karaoke club. Let the dj decide what to play.

3) Party locatins - i think most (not all) organizers try to get the best "underground feel like" places already. So we need to give them a brake and respect their choices, simply go to their parties and enjoy it. All we can do is give our opinion of the venue so they can make better evalutations for furure parties.

fyi I hate tap water and NEVER drink it. Always buy drinks/beer/bottled water or club soda ...If I can afford going out and spending $100 I do it ... if not - I stay at home ....

The subscription would be like a NetFlix account. The monthly subscription fee would be contributed toward venues, talent and organization of Trance events. Perhaps there can be an option of a few different main acts that are available, posted as a poll for every subscriber to vote on before major events. The artist who recieves the most votes will be invited to play. Perhaps the same can be done with a few different spaces with photos and stats of the locations available. This could be the next level, it makes a lot of sense.           "We Are The Crew"

it makes alot of sense idealistically so all it would take is someone connected and dedicated enough to organize this size of a project i would not be the person to even comprehend this sort of venture but I would join it.

hmmm....meees dooos believes that one Machine Elf collects funds to purchase sound systems and generators for outdoor underground trance parties in Manhatten. In the past they've purchased a decent Mackie system but it got confiscated due to unfortunate, freakish, circumstances. Lately they've been using money to cover rental expenses for their otherwise totally free trance parties in the NYC region. they've been quiet, i believe, giving the "secret" locations a rest due to that NYC inner city effect. Your money buys you into a list that guarantees that you know the parties are going down, plus some DJ voting rights. otherwise bring yr own booze and water.

I think that having membership for club parties is a good idea, if only as a technicality to keep out people we dont want at the parties. The only way to become a member would be to know about the existance of this club/organization. Basically so the parties are more like social clubs/country clubs with exclusive membership. The point would not be to actually exclude anybody, but to make it so that the parties are officially private events, not public events. There doesnt even need to be a fee for membership in the "club".

As to the idea of collectivly paying to bring certain artists, maybe we could try out the idea with one single event.
step 1. Find out the fees for bringing a bunch of artists, and the fees for venuses
step 2. Make a poll on isratrance to see who people want to bring, and what venue they want it to be at.
step 3. Raise donations for the party, and record how much each person donated.
step 4. Find the average amount that was donated, and make that the official ticket price.
step 5. Throw the party, and deduct from the price of each each donors ticket the amount that that person donated.
Step 6. Split any profit that is made among the donors, proportionate to the amount that they donated (so the "donors" are really more like "investors" so that there is some incentive to donate more, even though no profit can really be expected)

Yeah, it's not a new concept, Jeff and his list have been around since the beginning of it all in NYC throwing some insane events. I've been through the bridge party scene, nice neighborhood, really friendly. After some locals decided to show their affection for our presence on their "turf" by spilling the gass we used for the generator and lighting it on fire, not to mention the glass beer bottles chucked at some peoples heads, that venue sort of lost it's charm for me.

Warehouse parties are ideal for inner city urban events. Screw the alchohol, thats what attracts the unwanted crowd who lust after flesh at our beautiful parties. I swear, I'd pay an extra $20-30 for a organizer hired and instructed security team, a jug of fresh water in the corner, a large wood floor and some sick speakers stacked high. Heaven?

Nasos Tantrum got alot of Tantrums.

I appreciate the effort n all tht some ppl are makin towards this but ppl pls dont get too much ahead of ureself the way the scene is goin is fine. Pls be a lil mature thn this, wat ure askin for really is a dream world were everythin would be for u. PPL just chillout let the orgs do wat the best is.I know( and U know) this is not gonna happen, jst enjoy wat u have. If i culd have it my way things wuld totallyyy be diff but now everything is not according to me. Small steps are more needed at this time as against those mentioned. Start small and then aim big rather than vice versa.

Yes, what we are asking for is a "Dream world" that is just for "us". Who else would it be for?

I think all of the ideas in this thread are great. If we gather enough interest and truly come together as a community we can make this happen. All that is required is the dedication and cooperation of the whole. We can do it! Why not? There is nothing stopping us besides ourselves.
