Never heard of it? no mention on Ultimae or Magnus's website but looks to be some sort of collection of tracks from various compilations apart from the track Cybereye.. Weird?

Hope someone can clarify.

seems someone is releasing collections of tracks from various compilations as "unofficial albums".
there`s another one cropped up called
"Carbon Based Lifeforms - Endospore". no mention of this on the ultimae website either.
i don`t think the artists or the label have anything to do with these getting released (except for producing the tracks of course).

Cheeky I say. One of them even links to the CBL website where you can make a donation if you have downloaded it.

But yes, vertainly looks unauthorised. Especially as they say the label is Ultimae.

Are you guys going to discuss this album _MORE_ than already released albums? I mean, you have talked more about the unreleased CBL album than both new Abakus and Bluetech released albums combined. Thats just WOW! I like CBL as much as the next guy.. but still.. it is not out yet. There is nothing to hear except short samples. Is that _really_ more interesting than NEW Abakus and Bluetech?

Getting pretty uninteresting around here. Cheerio.           www.xerxes-music.com

Well, regarding this thread, there is not much to discuss really, since it's not a real/official album.

Regarding what is being discussed more here, well, it's all a matter of taste and simply depends on what the people who come here find more interesting to talk about.

For example, you never said anything about this album and band ( which in my opinion are amazing ), maybe because you don't find their music interesting and it's just not your cup of tea, or maybe you just missed the thread

Either way, it's all cool, since it is just a matter of taste.

About the new CBL, in my opinion, already from the samples, one can hear that it's a beautiful album. About the new Abakus, well, I heard it on bandcamp, and didn't really like it. Too recycled for me, and in music it's not a good thing. His first album is still his best album in my opinion.

The new Bluetech, well, Bluetech is one of my favorite artists, but I didn't feel the new album, I will check it again though

And here is another Great upcoming release that doesn't get much attention here:

Cheers !

Good points Bodhisattva Personally I think the new Abakus is some of his best work, same goes for Bluetech. I guess I just thought they deserved more attention in terms of overall quality and previous acomplishments than some / any unreleased and unheard album. Seeing that I am pretty inactive myself, I suppose my agenda here is a bit like throwing rocks in a glasshouse.           www.xerxes-music.com

hi xerxes. this thread is more about the trend of unofficial (fake?) albums cropping up than the merits of CBL over Abakus or Bluetech. (all IMO are quality artists and at the top of the genre).

agreed, it`s always interesting to have thread after thread discussing the latest releases in order of release date, but the increasing trend of unofficial releases (which don`t appear to be sanctioned by the artist or label) is also worthy of note, no?

cheers!           `... and in that moment I knew the answer.'

I can’t remember if I cried
When I read about his widowed bride,
But something touched me deep inside
The day discussion died.

Oh, and while the king was looking down,
The jester stole his thorny crown.
The courtroom was adjourned;
No verdict was returned.
And while lennon read a book of marx,
The quartet practiced in the park,
And we sang dirges in the dark
The day discussion died.

Now the half-time air was sweet perfume
While the sergeants played a marching tune.
We all got up to dance,
Oh, but we never got the chance!
`cause the players tried to take the field;
The marching band refused to yield.
Do you recall what was revealed
The day discussion died?

Oh, and as I watched him on the stage
My hands were clenched in fists of rage.
No angel born in hell
Could break that satan’s spell.
And as the flames climbed high into the night
To light the sacrificial rite,
I saw satan laughing with delight
The day discussion died.

And in the streets: the children screamed,
The lovers cried, and the poets dreamed.
But not a word was spoken;
The church bells all were broken.
And the three men I admire most:
The father, son, and the holy ghost,
They caught the last train for the coast
The day discussion died.

They were singing,
"bye-bye, miss american pie."
Drove my chevy to the levee,
But the levee was dry.
Them good old boys were drinkin’ whiskey and rye
Singin’, "this’ll be the day that I die."
