Marconi Union - Beautifully Falling Apart: (Ambient Transmissions Vol.1). [ Just Music 2011 ]. Out July 11th.
Words from Marconi Union:
"Like some of our previous records Beautifully Falling Apart was inspired by a visual concept. We were impressed by the sight of an industrial complex at night with hundreds of gigantic steel tubes billowing smoke all illuminated by brilliant white arc lights. It was the contrast between the beauty of this image and the underlying harsh reality of an industrial plant.
The music on BFA is more ambient and less beat driven than any we have released up until now and is definitely a sideways step from our previous releases. To clarify this, BFA is subtitled Ambient Transmissions Vol. 1 and we hope it will be part of an ongoing series."

From the samples it sounds like another beautiful, spellbinding album from the MU guys. Another deep, nocturnal dive.

Yeah, gotta love their music, it's quite irresistible
'Distance', 'A Lost Connection', and 'Tokyo' are three masterpieces in my opinion, and BFA sounds like another one. .
Can't wait. . .
Their music contains so much depth. . .

Marconi Union are geniuses ... Tokyo is one of the most visual albums ever. If anyone can translate urban landscapes into ambient soundscapes it's these guys.

This is indeed something else. . .
As always, wonderful atmospheric electronics blend with haunting, ghostly guitar lines, but more ambient this time, as the title implies. Their music indeed has a beautiful nocturnal urban kinda feel, which I really like. Unique. Dreamy. Evocative. Highly recommended.
