Buddha Monkey, I suspect you'll like this radio program. It's on every Friday 6:30-9:30 EST (which is GMT -5 h). The host - Bill Peters - has been doing it for many years. He just plays whatever he likes, which is some old heavy metal and modern (mostly European) stuff. He is a big fan of Svedish black metal (or is it "dark" or "doom" or something along those lines?...), so I suspect you'll get along fine.

Enjoy.

I know that, been listening to metal longe than any other style (20+ years).

Metal is the only music I've found that gives so much to fans & bands yet asks for little back.

And unlike trance, I never need to take a break from metal/hard rock... I have around 500 psy related cd's, about 3,000 metal/hard rock related vinyl/cd n' about 6 terabytes of legal metal downloads           I hate you, you hate me, we are all so hap hap happy!

Check out Bill Peters' show nonetheless. I think you'll like his taste. He's been doing it for about 20 years too. It's a volunteer radio station, so no commercials and pretty much no censorship. They play public service announcements maybe 2-3 minutes every half an hour. The rest is music and Bill telling you what he played or interviewing a band.

Yeah, this could go into the "dark vs. psychedelic" thread

I actually like this kind of music. Which is kinda surprising. The only thing - I wish they would all just shut up and play instruments instead of "singing". I mean all of them - not just this band.

By the way, am I a sonic pervert for imagining this song's chorus in Greek Uplifting style?

P.S. What's with the name change? Trying to get rid of those religious references any way you can, eh?

Buddha Monkey, I did not realize you have EST in Australia too - could be confusing.
I was talking about our EST (Greenwich minus 5 h). So, our Friday 6:30 p.m. is like your Saturday 8-9 a.m. (?)

Good time for some black metal - helps that 5th cup of coffee
