With the amount of copies a psy CD sells - its just not practical to get a mongolian orchestra or javanese nose flute player into the studio - so artists have to use sample CDs (or just rip it off and hope no one notices..!)
I'm sure if more pople bought the CDs and less people copied them off their mate s- their would be more cash to ge in "real" singers! |

nothing wrong at all with sample cd's! especially when you are as creative with samples as somebody like Ott is. and if everyone on this forum bought his cd twice, i still don't think he could afford both a mongolian orchestra and a javanese nose flute player. he might have to just settle for one. i would go for the flute player myself, for the added visual effect:) |

it's probably from spectrasonics Vocal Planet (i think that's the name, it's their extremely expensive sample collection of all kinds of forms of singing from around the world) like just about every other voice on psyambient stuff. an entire section in shpongle's divine moments of truth is lifted from that, vocal and background music, and left as is unprocessed. |

exactly and therefore the artists/singers have already been payed and credited- no more credits are needed...

Sample Companys 'like' to have their name put in the credits of an album, but there is no law stating you 'must'. |

OTT has produced great music !!
Thankyou.
About the sample.. of kurnesh - punjab .. it has been used in alot of tracks.. the meaning may be inspiring ..its a woman saying.. "come i will take you to stars.. "
But this was the first remix i ever heard of this song.. even before listening to original song. Ive heard original song too .. it sounds like a drunk gurl singing it nottily.. taste is bit different in original song.. but anyway trance remixes are amazing.
I am listening to OTTs tracks from quite a long time.. they have these weird sounds in between a psychomelodic tune.. i call this pure psycho classics
Has anyone heard 'Splitting an atom' ? enigmatic .. hypnotic.. loved all the tracks.. i wanted to buy their CD but its not available on saikosounds |

Original singer of this song 'aao huzoor tumko sitaron mein le chalo' is one of the indian legends named Asha Bhosley.
Its there in couple of albums .. it has been composed by Kurunesh and the album is called 'Global spirits'.
Ya even i have heard the female vocal sample from 'Splitting an atom' somewhere else.. cant recollect though.. but its super amazing melopsychedelic ambience !! |

Oh well this original song "Aoo huzoor" is composed by O.P. Nayyar. It is from an old Indian movie called 'Kismat' and sung by Asha Bhosle. So it was remade by Kurunesh as Punjab.. then this one was remixed by other trance artists |

You can hear part of that sample in Shpongle's 'Monster Hit' too if I'm not mistaken.
