So much for self-control. Ordered this, Aerosol, and Access to Arasaka's "Opidian". There is SO much more music there that has my interest.

way more purely ambient than i usually listen to, but wow! the textures are amazing... under the sodium lights brings surreal images to mind as well... orangeyness

'Under The Sodium Lights' contains enormous depth. It is absolutely stunning.
Tender, powerful, nostalgic, sad, dramatic, heartwarming, it's everything. . .
Here is another one from the album:
Trust me, go buy it.
Cheers !

Picked this up based off this thread. Very nice atmospheres. I second this opinion.

Glad to hear that
Well, since you bumped it up, I'll take the chance and tell you all that this year, his debut album 'The Sound Of Lights When Dim', was reprinted together with his two other albums that preceded 'Under The Sodium Lights', so I bought the debut as well. 'The Sound Of Lights When Dim' is different in vibe and feel from 'Under The Sodium Lights', but is just as beautiful and pretty much in the same style and sound. It's enchanting from start to finish.
Soulful, radiant, dreamy, cinematic ambient-gaze.
Just sit back, relax, and let this delicate yet powerful and evocative music to unfold slowly and take you over. .
And back on topic - here is the opener of the wonderful album 'Under The Sodium Lights'
'...and to the dust we shall return' ( offical music video ) from the album 'Under The Sodium Lights'

this band is simply amazing.
I've never been to Perth but it seems like they manage to catch the atmosphere and solitude/remoteness of that place
